I believe we need another reason for impeachment added to the Constitution beyond high crimes and misdemeanors. Failure to uphold the oath of office, namely failure to uphold and defend the Constitution. There can be no doubt that this this law was designed to dupe the American people rather than uphold the Constitution. Otherwise the law would have be presented as a Constitutional amendment which is the only way it could be viewed as strictly above board and lawful.
It's not a high crime or misdemeanor. You can't impeach the guy for being smart but insisting on terrible policy.
It is not a high crime and I didn't say it was. But it sure as hell was not a faithful attempt to uphold the Constitution either. To the contrary, an overt disregard for the Constitution and a violation of the oath of office. That should be viewed with the same contempt and the same penalty the reward.

Where I work they just took away healthcare for the retired employees 65+ That wasn't their promise while they worked for 30-50 years. I'm waiting for them to take away healthcare for all employees.
