The Rangers have called up Jesper Fast from Hartford. (Larry Brooks)

    Fast’s cap hit is $805,500.

In 11 games with the Wolf Pack, Fast has 1 goal and 8 assists, a minus two rating, 2 PIM and 17 shots on goal.

Fast played three games with the Rangers this season, had 3 shots on goal, a minus one rating, 2 blocked shots and 12:41 per game with 1:47 on the PK.

The Rangers have sent Ryan Malone to Hartford. (AHL)

    Malone cleared waivers last week.

For everything on Malone since he signed, CLICK HERE.

Malone was on a two-way contract and will now earn a salary based upon the $100,000 AHL contract he is on.

Malone played in 6 games for the Rangers this season, recorded 0 goals and 0 assists, was a minus four, had 4 PIM, 6 shots on goal, 14 hits, 2 blocked shots, 3 giveaways and 10:01 per game.

Allen has been sent back to Hartford. (AHL)

So Malone down and Fast up instead of Miller or Lindberg. Hopefully he gets in on the 4th line and Glass sits (doubtful).

And Allen is out for Moore. I thought Kostka for sure, but I guess AV likes him better than Allen.

Damn shame about Allen, hope Moore learned his lesson. After a promising first season Moore's been consistently lousy but he's still young while Kostka is a bum on his fourth team in 4 years, don't think there's any lightning in a bottle to catch. I get all the Glass hating but when we play Pitt, Philly or Boston Jesper Fast offers nothing physical, this is where Glass is supposed to earn that $1.5 mil with his limited time and unfortunately AV seems to love giving him 10 minutes.

AV likes Kostka and Glass. Not a good sign. Ugly players
    with no upside.
    These signings are a joke.

They need to package some of these milktoast prospects for another forward.

AV clearly has his head up his ass to start this season. The fact he continues to play Glass and Kostka is embarrassing. In case he wasn't watching this team before, that is how Torts got himself fired. When he refused to play the teams top prospects instead of no future scrubs.

If you look at Glass in the AHL, he sucked beyond belief. How this dumbass ever made the NHL is incredible.

Dump I agree with you that AV is making some questionable personnel decisions but I don't think it's fair to say he's not playing the team's top prospects. You can't call Duclair one of the league's best prospects, them turn around and say AV isn't playing the top prospects. Duclair is playing. Hayes is playing. Fast will be playing. Kreider now in a top 6, full time role. None of that would have happened under Torts unless we found some 21 year old shot blocker extraordinaire.

The problem with AV is that he seems to pick favorites. Tight leash on Miller and no chance for McIlrath. Doesn't like them. Just look at his public statements. Miller needs more maturity on and off the ice, no room in the game for McIlrath's scrap with Reaves. Doesnt like them. On the flip side, little more freedom for Hayes who is brutal at the dot and Duclair who has gotten caught out of position and lost his man more than gets mentioned. He likes them. And the most obvious example is Glass who must have some serious blackmail on AV.

We'll see who comes out tonight. Hope it's class but early reports are it may be Stempniak which would be a brutal, brutal call.

guess they feel that Hayes is a better option at center than Lindberg

I feel like at this point duke should be send to juniors. The kid is gonna get jerked around by AV.

AV has been irritating me with his decisions, since the beginning of the season. Keeping two scrubs Kostka and Glass in the lineup is beyond stupid.

They would've been better off calling up Lindberg over Fast and move Hayes to wing as some have also suggested.
