They lost Friedman They lost Maddon My happiness will be completed by moving the team to Montreal or Charlotte.
Local Bay News Nine has touched on the Rays to Montreal which the team has denied. I've heard of Charlotte being spoken of as a place for the Rays franchise, by more than a few Rays Fans. I just want to see them gone period.
They are still talking, per Bay News Nine today the Rays are filing to seek locations in Hillsborough County, Tampa side of the Bay. New Stadium or not this area does is more populated with transplants than locals.
...Tampa certainly has not supported a team, Miami either for that matter.... And Charlotte has already proven they can support pro sports teams.
I'd love to see Montreal get a MLB Team back. Even the AAA Royals, Bums Farm Club drew alot of attention. After all that is where the great Roberto Clemente began his MLB career, and was plucked back then by the Pirates, as no Minor Leaguers were sole property of any hosted Team. Montreal can support a MLB team, as well as Toronto, they just simply need a state of the art stadium dome, since its so damned cold there. Where 90 percent of the population travels, shops at every store you can think of, all underground. All Modern Apartment complexes have elevators down underground. Yet a Team can't play underground. Salut-Les Habitats de Canadiens....! cheers...!
PS: Montreal was where my Paternal GrandFather was born and came from. He also lived in Quebec city, then immigrated legally to LA. and many other Metropolises, as a Ford Service Mgr. and began as a mechanic. One of Ford's first mechanics of the Model T and A....
