Good deal for V-mart and 36 years old at that, good player though the Tigers should get their moneys worth. Wonder where they will go with Scherzer from this point.

A 4yr deal for a DH? That will be 39 at the end of the deal? Cashman working for Detroit now?

    IMO that's a little steep.

Detroit would be nothing without the duo. V-Mart, I bet comes in 2nd in the MVP race; 2nd to Mike Trout.

Hopefully Giancarlo Stanton wins the NL MvP, and not Kershaw.

I'm still under the belief that pitchers should not win the MVP award. They have there own award, Save the MVP for players that are in the game everyday.

I've always felt the same, esp since Clemens stole the MVP from Donnie BB, which would of made back to back MVP's. Verlander too, and hopefully not Kershaw.

Just this week a friend said something to me, (who is also not for Pitchers for MVPs) said, look at how many batters these pitchers face in a year, usually over 700 total+. While A batter is lucky to get 600 at bats. Makes sense, but not enough for me to say a Pitcher who works every 4th or 5th day can't be compared with any positonal player who contributes on defense and offense, (part of the original by law for selecting MVPs)..

Plus the majority of Pitchers can't hit worth a shit, and that too should be counted IMO.

Cy YOung for Pitchers, MVPs not for DH's, only positional players who play damn near every game in a season, I just can't see how a Pitcher can be considered at all, even if he does face 800 batter, what his own batting average?
