http://www.nytimes.com/2006/11/26/world/mi...agewanted=print<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>BAGHDAD, Nov. 25 ? The insurgency in Iraq is now self-sustaining financially, raising tens of millions of dollars a year from oil smuggling, kidnapping, counterfeiting, connivance by corrupt Islamic charities and other crimes that the Iraqi government and its American patrons have been largely unable to prevent, a classified United States government report has concluded. The report, obtained by The New York Times, estimates that groups responsible for many insurgent and terrorist attacks are raising $70 million to $200 million a year from illegal activities. It says $25 million to $100 million of that comes from oil smuggling and other criminal activity involving the state-owned oil industry, aided by ?corrupt and complicit? Iraqi officials.</div> 1. Thousands of willing participants 2. Hundreds of millions of dollars to fund it = Could go on forever and we cannot stop it :no1:

Not like it needs to be said, but this war is a lost cause. And this isn't any new news either, they're financed up the ass.

The US needs to cut the funding to this stuff yesterday. if the funding is cut, than the US stands a better chance at stopping the insurgency.

The US can stop them, we have the ability. I mean come on! Am I the only one who thinks it's ridiculous that the most powerful military force in the world is having trouble with a bunch of crazy dumbfucks who couldn't hit the broadside of a barn with their guns?Let's do what Nixon did in Vietnam with his air campaigns, which is send in a constant stream of B-52's to drop an unending supply of Nepalm on those pricks. Then we'll see who has the upper hand.
