    I was trying to get a rough idea as to the Yankees payroll so far for 2015 & the obvious ones total $169M between only 11 players.......

    A-Rod $21M
    Tiexeira $22.5M
    Sabathia $23M
    Tanaka $22M
    Ellsbury $21M
    McCann $17M
    Beltran $15M
    Gardner $12M
    Prado $11M
    Ryan $2.5M
    Young $2.5M

    However the ones I don't see with a $ amount for 2015 are.........

    Nova, Pineda, Phelps, Kelley, Warren, Betances & Greene. Now I know they're not FA so how do there salaries work out?

    I think Pineda's still pre-arbitration, so he'd be in the 580k range, iirc. I don't know enough about the rest to know which pre-arb year they're in.

    Phelps, Pineda, Warren, Betances are all in the 500-600k range, depending on their service year. Kelley had a 1.7M contract this year. Can't find Greene and Nova.

    I know what they earned in 2014 Kelley 1.7M, Nova 3.3M etc but I can't find what they're due in 2015

    We share the exact same thought on this one Tote.....the exact words out of my mouth; as soon as I saw the list. Top 3 be-gone.

    1-Put Alex in Jail, or find a legal loophole, (A-Roid seems to be making available) to shit can Alex.

    2-Ship Tex back to Tex, for a loss at that. Shit throw in a few lifetime Minor Leaguers to take him, if possible, on top of maybe paying just a small bit of his pay. Tho' that much is impossible, they'd have to eat what about 2/3rds of Tex's due pay, per year, to Texas?

    3-CC, shit, give him some strong tranquilizers; with a continuous release, lasting until his contract expires. Find a by law to DFA CC, for no loss, and/or gain his Insurance Losses. Some juice to lose his memory of everything including how to throw a ball. NO WAIT, CC already does just that....who spiked his Kool-Aid? :koolaid::breakdance:

    Hell, I'd take 10 percent of that, to sit on the bench the rest of my life too. Maybe play 1st on occasion too. I may be too old to play, but Tex has looked like he's forgotten how to play ball, maybe he's too old too?

    Texeria has blamed his deteriorating performance on advancing "age" for a couple of seasons. As far as I'm concerned they can take that trio and cast them as the new 3 stooges. Heard a disturbing comment on Tampa Bay News 9 that Girardi is elated to see the pharmacist come back. Political correctness hell, tell it like it is, "scumbag we don't want you back" can you imagine Billy Martin as manager awaiting A-holes alleged return.

    What I've found so far:

    Yanks' projected payroll including guaranteed, est arbitration (MLB Trade Rumors),
    .. and options = 186.2 mil

    Nova, arbitration 3.3 mil
    Pineda, " 2.10
    Phelps, " 1.3
    Kelley, " 2.5
    Warren, pre arb
    Betances, "
    Greene "

    Okay, according to this there team payroll for 2014 was $197M. If we're at $186M now its a safe bet to say that we'll exceed last years numbers after a few deals.

    I'd love to eliminate A-Rod, Tex, CC, and Beltran...

    According to http://www.baseballprospectus.com/compensation/cots/al-east/new-york-yankees/ & https://spreadsheets.google.com/pub?key=tpQLwiiQL4kzEzLhsUqVjLQ&output=html

    Tex = $23.125M ($22.5M + bonus of $0.625M)
    CC = $25M
    A-Rod = $22M ($21M + $1M bonus paid each January)
    Tanaka = $22M
    Ellsbury = $21.14285715M
    McCann = $17M
    Beltran = $15M
    Gardner = $12.5M ($12M + $0.5M bonus)
    Prado = $11M
    Chris Young = $2.5M
    Brendan Ryan = $2M
    DePaula = ??
    Aside from DePaula, this comes to $168,767,857

    Nova got $3.3M in 2014 and avoided arbitration
    Esmil Rodgers (was re-signed by Toronto last year) got $1.85M in 2014 & avoided arbitration
    Kelley got $1.765M in 2014 and avoided arbitration

    Pineada got $538,475 in 2014
    Warren got $0.5274M in 2014
    Justin Wilson got $0.515M in 2014
    Huff got $0.505M in 2014
    Betances got $0.5021M in 2014
    Banuelos = ???
    Campos = ???
    Preston Claiborne got $511,325 in 2014
    Ramon Flores = ???
    Shane Greene got $0.5M in 2014

    Steve what am I missing on CC Your link (cots) has him at 23M not 25M. Not that it matters since he's overpaid by about 20M anyway.

    It's always blown me away how much filthy money these Free Agents get, compared to the Minimum Minor League wage(s)....

    I guess that's one reason to have Arbitration. Makes me focus on Miguel Cabrera when he was the Marlins 3rd bagger, and got to arbitration, and got 7 Mil, when he was not even making $472,000...!!!
