    I think it is just a judgement call by the ref. With just .03 seconds they give you a quick catch and shoot. If the shooter's motion is anymore than just that, then I think they disallow it. i think this one was close enough.

    I just don't think they can rely on the reaction time from a human who starts the clock the exact same time the player touches the ball. I think what you can and can't do...is already established before the play starts.

    But are they supposed to count frames during a replay when the clock was not started correctly? I guess what I mean to say is, do they have the authority there to do that?

    Iv heard it quiet a few times talked about by announcers/media folks that .3 is the least amount of time needed for a shot attempt and all that allows is a tip in.

    i thought it was anything less than .03 was a tip in only, but .03 was the minimum for a catch and shoot.

    Watching Houston vs Memphis. I'm not impressed at all with Houston. They don't protect the ball and their defense sucks.

    Their game is still perimeter, which won't work in the playoffs. I think Memphis is going to blow them out
