    14-20 FG

    Davis obliterated our frontcourt.

And he's doing this at age 21!

    'Tis not fair.

Could you imagine a Davis/Lillard team? Would be like a likable Shaq/Kobe

I keep forgetting he is 21. That's scary considering the numbers he is already putting up.

Man, the Pelicans are going to give Portland tons of trouble this year and in the future. AD is the toughest matchup for Aldridge every time. They are a good team, just young and inexperienced still. I can't believe we pulled that out, that third quarter was rough.

    We need Baum back.

This season we are winning games we have no business winning, but unlike last year, we're winning them by eight with defense instead of by one with heroic shots.

Batum definitely would've helped check Evans early and maybe they don't go on that run and we win comfortably.

    Fwiw...

The Hornets tried like hell to trade into the top-5 to grab Lillard. Chad Ford covered this on that draft day - They thought Lillard would drop to them but as soon as they caught wind of Portland's plan they were on the phone. Their goal was to pair Davis with Lillard.

It was a really smart idea. I'm glad it didn't happen!

New Orleans needs a legit second star.

    Evans isn't a star.

    Holiday isn't a star.

    Anderson isn't a star.

They need another guy to go with Davis. They need a Dame to their Aldridge. They don't have that. If I was New Orleans, I would see if I could package those players for a legit second guy.

    Jrue is a fringe starter.

Trading Noel for this guy was a huge mistake.

Melo should have asked to go to Nola honestly. Davis's defense would save Melo's lack thereof. They would have been scary with Melo and Davis

    1. Anthony Davis just might be the best player in the NBA.

    2. Terry Stotts needs more recognition, not only in Portland but nationally. The defensive improvement is not an accident

The Pelicans should move Eric Gordon to OKC for Perkins and Lamb.

    Ok 3 things.

    1. Imagine when Davis adds 3 point range to his game?

    2. Yet another GREAT defensive effort against a top offensive team. A team that was coming off of a 139 point game.

    3. Our bench was great. Another great job playing tough.

    1. I thought, "if he's really the best, would I rather have him on a particular team than their star?" Davis instead of Blake Griffin in LA? No doubt. Instead of Dwight Howard in HOU? Obviously. Instead of LeBron in CLE?

    Yes. I think so.

I don't know how they're going to turn their assets into a second star, though. No team with a guard that good is desperate enough to take on pieces.

Anthony Davis can keep his statline, I'll take the win.
