Its been bad in recent years, but this year it looks to be even more lopsided than usual. The West has 48 wins and 18 losses against the East. Only 1 team, Minnesota at 1-2, has a losing record against the East.
This has been a very bad season for the east....I have no idea why records are this low. The only teams that I can make an excuse for are Milwaukee and Miami due to some of their best players being injured. Aside from that, the teams have just been playing bad. A very talented nets team is 5-7 and they are leading their division...The Hawks would be the 6th seed in the playoffs with a 6-7 record. As for the West, every team except for 1 is above 500. At least thats what I heard....I havent checked it out though.
Good to see! Hey, guess what the Suns record at home is against the East over the last 3 years....29-3. I love to see the West dominate, but it makes me wish my team was in the East.
It's because the east has gotten weaker at the topDetroit lost big benMiami is a senior citizens centerJersey isn't getting any better and kidd isn't getting any youngerAnd on the flip side in the west:SAS has a healthy big three again and fabric oberto is playing wellDallas is a year older and more experiencedHouston has Yao playing like a superstar this yearUtah is playing out of their minds and boozer is blossoming into a starNOH had great improvement in the offseasonLAC only lost vlad and gained titoGSW got nelson and Monta became a star while all their young team got one year olderSAC had k-mart become a starDEN had 'melo continue to improvePOR got a slew of good young players and randolph is improvingetc. Almost every team in the west improved this offseason while the top of the already weaker east got worse.

Yup, it's happening again. A couple years ago, Kenny Smith called the Eastern Conference the "JV League" (lmao), but then it started getting better. So far this year, it has looked horrible. The only teams that are playing well are Cleveland, Orlando, and Detroit is just now starting to pick it up.If the playoffs started today, the only Western Conference team that wouldn't make the Eastern Conference playoffs is the Grizzlies. Enough said, that is just embarrassing.

Kidd is still putting up damn near a triple double everynight, and RJ and VC still have many years ahead of them meanwhile they have built a mediocre bench. AND Detroit is better than people give them credit for. They've been playing with that starting five for what, 3 years?(With Ben) Of course things are going to be screwed up for a while when you take out any starter no matter what the role after the success they have had. Nazr is a very servicable big man, won't put up eye popping numbers, but he provides toughness and defense. Come playoffs, they'll be in the hunt.If you ask me, the east just got more balanced, not worse. Toronto, Milwaukee, Orlando, New Jersey, Chicago, and Charlotte all got better. The East's problem is that alot of its core players are young, and the west has many teams with alot of experience. (San Antonio, Phoenix, LAC, Dallas, etc.)But don't forget the east has been contending and winning the title for the past few years with Detoit, and Miami winning it last year.
