<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>At least one of the Raptors believes coach Sam Mitchell should be fired."I?ll be stunned if he?s with us another week," the player said, naturally requesting anonymity. "We need a coaching change, man. (General manager Bryan) Colangelo?s brought in good players, but the coaching?s terrible. He (Mitchell) has us running around like chickens with our heads cut off. He stresses shooting and offence, but then he?s always on our ass about our defence."The Raptors have lost six consecutive games and the player said Mitchell?s lectures have gotten old."They?re no good for our confidence," he said. "We don?t even hear his bull no more. He?s lost us, man. We just shut him out."The player accused Mitchell of spending too much time "on extra-curricular activities away from basketball," although he would not elaborate. He also said: "Mitchell squabbles too much, man, whether it?s with players or assistant coaches, even reporters. He?s always looking for a fight. He never just chills. It?s ridiculous."The player said he would never share his thoughts about Mitchell with reporters who cover the team regularly."No way, man, the reporters who travel with us seem intimidated by him," he said. "We laugh. He pisses off people every day, but that don?t get reported."Watch what happens now. You print what I tell you, and then Mitchell denies it and then all the beat reporters and radio guys just say you made it up and sh*t. And we get told to deny it or not to comment, and we do ?cause we don?t need no headaches.""Just quote me, man. Write what I say. It?s the truth. Mitchell?s got to go. And when he gets fired, it?ll all come out and we won?t care no more about what he thinks."The player predicted Mitchell?s successor will either be one of the Raptors? assistant coaches or a member of the Phoenix Suns? coaching staff.</div>hmm..it's not Chris Bosh. He's too good of a kid to say this. Maybe it's Mo Pete? He's probably frustrated about not getting enough minutes and his poor start.
That is what I think, if I had to guess this is Mo Pete, and I think that he has a right to express these opinions. Mitchell is a horrid coach, and you can't even call him any sort of leader. He needs to be let go ASAP.

But I guess it makes sense that it would be Mo-Pete. He definitely has beef with coach Mitchell right now after getting benched. I have thought all along that was a bad move. Mitchell is on his way out, soon too. You Raptors fans are lucky, your coach is almost a guarentee to get fired, us Celtics fans - different story. Doc should, but won't get fired.
If you guys know anything about Mo, hes not like that. Hes a very proffesional player, for him to stick with a losing team 5+ years, thats amazing. Second Mo could have gotten mad, but I dont think it was him. only one not experienced in the NBA would say that, not necassarily a rookie, but not a vet eithier. I dont want to lean on Ford, but he does seem abit frustrated. My other choice was Jones, those were the only other guys that come to mind.
I have a gut feeling it might be TJ Ford because everytime Mitchell calls him up to talk to him when someone shoots a free throw he doesn't seem to show any interest in what he has to say. I personnaly think Mitchell will be gone this year like everyone does. But this will be a good and bad thing. The good side of it is that the Raptors will improve because Mitchell is not a good teacher. The bad side is that Sam is such a players coach and some players like Chris Bosh will be mad to see him go. I guess will have to wait and see.
For all we know, it was Darrick Martin lol. Nobody knows, so it's sort of pointless for us to be throwing out a bunch of names and saying "he's the type of guy to say this." Maybe it was Bosh? Maybe it was a low caliber player like Martin? Maybe it was made up and no Raptor said anything publicly?
I wouldn't believe this article. If you're playing on a team you do NOT say anything negative to the media about your coach or other players, especially while he still has a job.

Goody too-shoes if you will...He would never say this.

Alot of the other guys on the team have either been there for a short period of time, or they are too young and wouldnt have the guts to say this publically. Mo Pete just seems like the kind of person to do this in my opinion...He is probably just fed up with losing at this point.
yeah, I'm thinking it's mo, too. only a veteran would say something like that. Pretty harsh words, but they are deservant. Mitchell is trash.
