He is playing some awesome d over the last few games. He denied Vince the ball, Vince looked lost. I honestly believe he can win it, he is easily playing the best on ball defense in the league.Kobe's having one his most balanced season to date. I mean, it was the first time kobe had 10 assits and it seemed he wasn't forcing. He just running the offense and got his shots even though they were shot. And when he saw they were in the penatly he attacked them (no calls). He was juiced earlier on but kobe is maturing. You can see it.

If he continues like this all season, which he is fully capable of, or evern better, there's no reason he shouldn't get MVP, I know its early and all, but if anybody deserves it its him.

theres better players in the league who are more defensive minded and concentrate mainly on d but if kobe keeps up his all round performance he will be a shoe in for MVP especially if the lakers go further this year!

And I'm not joking.

He'll probably get it or be close in the running if he keeps it up. I couldn't ask much more from him, he's been doing amazing.Loving it.

I agree, over the last few games she has been playing amazing defense. If he keeps it up, I can definetly see him winning it.

Kobe Bryant will not win the DPOY award. Yes he's a great defender but the media won't catch wind of his dominating defense because of his scoring...unfortunately.

The Media shouldn't vote for the MVP either because judging by last years pick, they cleary don't have a clue who is really MVP and who's not.Kobe has always been a lock down defender, he just never always played that way, he usualy slacked off a bit to save energy for the offensive end. But the way he's playing this year is really great. If he finishes his career without an MVP award then it is clear that it is because he isn't well-liked, because he has done everything to deserve the award.
