Kg wants to stay But only if there winning. Is this his way of askin to leave cause hes such a nice guy???<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>Star-Telegram - The sympathy for Kevin Garnett continues to pour in, but he appears to be no closer to leaving the Timberwolves than he was over the summer. "I would love to stay. That's my plan," Garnett said. "But it's got to be within the boundaries of winning. "I take a lot of pride in being the face of the T'wolves. I'm pretty sure it would be weird to see me playing in another uniform. "Everybody speaks from the newsstand, and the newsstand seems to be, 'That ain't working out for him. He needs to leave,'" Garnett said. "You hear former players speaking out. But if I was to go off what everybody else wants me to do, I'd probably be broke, out of the league, by the side of the road, living under a bridge. At some point, you've got to be a man and do what's best for you."</div>

And I'd love to see him stay. I love guys that stick with one franchise through and through. That's why I love Reggie Miller. KG should stay. But I do think Minny needs new management NOW.

his loyalty is admirable but is that his overiding goal because with their current roster the T'Wolves don't look likely to make the playoffs for the foreseeable future.I agree their management needs to go; they've got a couple of nice pieces in foye and smith but by the time those guys are truly in their prime KG will be past his.it's a sad situation, might be best for the league and the man if he ships out to a team that will give him the opportunity to showcase his talents on the biggest stage.

I'm just tired of hearing this story every week. Kevin Garnett's made it clear that he wants to stay in Minnesota if they win. He's not going anywhere this season and if you read the article he realizes what might happen if he gets traded. Now can we end the constant rumors please? I guarantee he will not be moved this year.

I'll haveta remember that... Because if the Wolves have a losing record in February, that big "IF" might turn into a possibility of him requesting a trade.... Bottom line is this: KG needs to get the feck outta MN as soon as he possibly can!

Whatever team trades for him will be giving up a lot of talent in return, KG isn't that stupid...he knows that. The team that could trade for him probably wouldn't be any better than the team in Minnesota. Contrary to what people are saying...I don't see Chicago dealing for him.

That's great that reggie wanted to stay and all, but KG NEEDS a championship so that he gets his due as one of the greats.

KG needs to get out. Its fair enought being loyal but only to a point. Surely he needfs to start looking at being Loyal to his fans and himself. We all are sick of minasota management making anemic attempts at putting a team around him. Sure you could sack managewment but even with new management it would take them a few years to get hm something to work with. He should go to a team that is a bit of acontender. LA would be fantastic- Kobe, Odom and KG - they could win it all!!

I used to be very passionate about this, but now I don't care if he leaves or not. It's his life, and he's showing great loyalty to his team for staying, but really it doesn't matter one bit unless he goes to the Lakers. [IMG]

I love the old days when some one could say a team and right away, you think of players that have always been on the team, the face of the team, the Show-time Lakers, Celtics, Bulls, Bad boy Pistons, and so on. You don't get the familiar faces as you used to, there are a few players that stick with a team. I am not saying you have to stick with a team, it is just nice.

I think this means "get me the hell out of this loser franchise right now" in a nice guy's words.I wouldn't be surprised if he literally did tell kevin mchale to trade him in private. I respect him for not going public with it.

Trading KG to the Knicks... wow. He would much rather stay in Minnesota and lose.I also agree with BCB, this KG stuff is getting old. Unless something actually happens, put it to rest.

well the knicks aren't as bad as you may think. we just can't close out games and lack players that give effort. kg will help this team tremendously. kg will help any team tremendously as long as he has good players surrounding him. I'm baffled as to why the wolves allowed sprewell and sam cassell to leave. they had a good squad that year and correct me if I'm wrong but they went to the conference finals that year and won over 60 games.

Of course, I hope you don't mean it in a homo way... :blink:Anyway, if KG wants out, it's not too late. He's still in his prime, currently playing great basketball. I think that if he does get the chance to win a championship, he'll be an off-the-bench player like Gary Payton and Alonzo Mourning, where as he receives play time and makes major plays but is no longer the main player in the team.</span>

Kevin Garnett's only 30 years old. He will most likely still be a very effective starter until he's 35. He's always in great shape, has not had injury problems. I don't see any reason why he wouldn't start somewhere considering he can play both forward spots.
