    Nic's not going to get a max contract.
    Dame will, but it'll be a rookie max.
    Unfortunately LMA is going to get a max contract and THAT'S going to be the one that bites us in the ass.

    Hopefully Olshey is able to sit all these guys down and get them to sacrifice dollars for the good of the team AND their own careers. If they all want max contracts none of them are going to win a championship (unless it happens this year).
    Nic, Wes, Rolo = $10M-$12M each (hopefully closer to $10M)
    LMA = $16M
    Lillard = rookie max

    I think LMA will be more then 16m more like 17-18 for year 1. Heck Nico could make 14 Rolo/wes 12 and dames max at 13 and None of these contracts will be bad even LMAs if the cap goes up to around 90m in two or so years. we would even have a ton of space left over.

    I'm not saying that's what I think they'll get (other than Lillard, which is obvious). But if I were Neil that's what I'd aim for - Nic & Wes around $12M, Rolo around $10M, and LMA at $16M.

    Ah I see. Id hope they work some magic and have the cap hits for everyone low the first year or two then go up significantly every year after. Not sure if they can do that with how the CBA works.
    Im really curious to see how FA will work this summer. Im assuming the Agents would have a good idea how the cap is going to be effected in the future by the television deal and I can see a lot of one or two year deals with player options and just absurd contracts thrown at role players.

    Nico will get around $13 mil
    Matthews around the same
    Rolo about 10-12 mil
    Lillard will be rookie max like you said
    Aldridge will get $17-18 mil and he deserves it.

    All is totally fine with the new cap coming up

    I disagree on Nic and Wes.

    Chandler Parsons is getting

    14.7
    15.3
    16.0

    If Parsons is worth that kind of money, I expect Nic and Wes will get at least that much.

    Denny may need to buy board insurance, this place is going to be nuts next offseason.

    I hate to tell you guys, but because Lillard was all-NBA 3rd team last year (and probably will be again either this year or next year), he'll be eligible for the same 30% max contract LMA is for having 9 years in the league.

    I have a feeling Olshey is going to be earning his money this offseason.

    It literally has come down to this offseason. If we do really well, though, it's a little easier. But it all comes to ahead this offseason at your local GM meetings, where one man tries to make the franchise work. Don't miss any of the action as Neil Olshey is: Blazin' Through the Maze. Brought to you by: Ahhh fuck it we can do it ourselves.

    Its imperative IMO that we keep the starting unit intact. That is going to be a tough thing. Adding a solid contributor through the draft, on a rookie contract would be a beautiful thing.

    Keeping our starting 5 intact would give us a huge advantage for the next few years. It just feels like we are going to let at least one go unfortunately

    So there's a rookie in this upcoming draft that is the missing piece to the puzzle?

    i see zero reason why PA wont sign off on the band getting back together, after a nice playoff run of course

    if they get bounced early or dont make the playoffs, then all bets are off

    I think he has a plan. What that plan is, I have no idea. There's definitely a reason why he has set things up the way that he has. I'm guessing he plans on making a run at someone like Marc Gasol. He has someone in mind that he wants to throw money at. My only concern is that we could try to make a play for a big free agent, much like the Rockets last year, and like the Rockets we could lose some pretty important people in the process. I don't want to whiff on Gasol and lose Wes/Rolo because we chased a pipe dream.

    Seems to me the plan A guy has been more used for leverage from the player (see: hibbert, hawes) and plan B was really plan A all along. I have faith Olshey knows what he's doing and isn't going to Morey this whole thing.

    I believe that's plan "b". His plan "a" is having this team, with how it is now, makes a deep run in the playoffs. If things fall apart, he has everything in place to either make a significant change in the roster

    Plan A is "everyone on the team is now auditioning for a part in our hit play 'Mr Lillard Goes to the Finals'. Anyone who doesn't get a part is an expiring contract I can offload to a desperate, over-budget team in February."
