<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>27th November, 2006 - 2:38 pmAP - UCLA is No. 1 in the AP college basketball poll, a position it has occupied more than any other school. The Bruins combined their championship at the Maui Invitational with losses by No. 1 Florida and No. 2 North Carolina to vault from fifth to the top spot Monday. This is UCLA's 129th poll with a No. 1 ranking, 19 more than runner-up Duke. The last time the Bruins were No. 1 was the final poll of the 1994-95 season when they went on to win their record 11th national championship. This is getting to be some serious bullsh** with all this overhyping of UCLA and I'm tired of it. They have a very young team and I question how well they can do when it really matters in the tourny. Arizona is still the top team of the pac-10 whether they lost to UVA or not. We have more depth, experience, athleticism, etc. I don't see how we fell a spot. We are so much better than #16.
We are 1st so far because we dominated teams like Georgie Tech and Kentucky. It's still too early in the year to get jumpy. Also, you guys should give the Bruins some credit...they are an extremely talented team. Weather you think they are obverhyped or not you gotta give them credit.
UConn at 20, not bad considering how young they are. By the end of the year we will be higher, hopefully in the 11 or 12 spot, maybe breaking top 10 once or twice.I hope.

This is one of the strongest freshmen classes ever so youth is not really an issue this season.
