It seems to me like people don't recognize Carmelo Anthony to be as good as he really is. Not only is he leading the league in scoring at 30+ ppg but he is the only player in top 10 scoring who's shooting better than 50%. For what it's worth he is averaging 30 ppg despite not scoring 40 or more points in any game this season, That's consistency at it's best. He's leading Denver to a 8-4 record, 8 out of 9 straight wins. The Nuggets WILL win the Northwest Division...Is Carmelo still under the radar?

Not on BBW for sure with how much you talk about him. [IMG] I think in a way he's still overlooked media wise. But I don't think it's the point where he's under the radar. The guy is still one of the new poster boys of the NBA along with Wade/Bron. He might not get as much attention as Wade/Bron but he definately gets more attention then half the players in the league imo. That to me is not under the radar.

Wade should be getting more attention over Melo and Bron is basically one of the bigger marketable names out there right now with the great talent/stats to boot. It doesn't surprize they get more attention.

Another mindless topic in the NBA section devoted to Carmelo Anthony. I'm glad you like to show off your favorite player, ballahollic..No, Anthony is not under the radar. Everyone knows what he is doing, and people have even said that he's the best pure scorer in the League. Actually, I think it's completely opposite.Carmelo is doing great though. He's alot more than just a shooter. Yeah, he can shoot, drive, he has good iso moves, post up moves, etc..He's just a dynamic offensive player. Ive seen him get his teammates involved well too..

No, Carmelo is not under the radar to most REAL basketball fans, but I agree in saying that often times the media overlooks him... but slowly they are starting to acknowledge his talents. It started this past summer when he was leading Team USA, and now he has carried that confidence and that success into the regular season for the Nuggets. However, like Rok said, he needs to achieve more postseason success in order for him to "catch up," so to speak, to LeBron and Wade in the media's eyes.It also hurts him that he plays in a smaller market than LeBron and Dwyane Wade do...

I agree with Tony, he IS under the radar. For a guy that averages almost 30 a game, very clutch, and is leading his team to a pretty damn good record right now, you rarley EVER hear anything about him. And CB4, how many topics have there been on this site in the NBA section only on Carmelo Anthony? I dont remember seeing any...

There have been alot of topics devoted to Melo actually. It's getting frustrating. You dont see me making topics in the NBA General section just about how good Bosh is..

We're not idiots. We know what Carmelo's doing. You dont have to enforce this every week with a new topic about him..

There have been many topics made about other players individually so I dont see what is wrong with it....It was a simple question. Do you think Carmelo is under the radar...You should have just said no, and gotten on with it. What you did was unnecessary.

[IMG] With Tony, it's like Nitro with Wade. There bound to be talking about them somewhere. :happy0144: I'm surprized Tony didn't bust out that last minute shot percentage in this topic.

I don't think he is still under the radar in the league. I consider this year his coming out season (on the national fan base level). As for me though, he is still under the radar. He doesn't seem to have that "look at me!" flashyness that gets attention, and he really hasn't starting being big until this season, I don't see him play hardly at all, so for me, he is still under the radar. After the end of this season, I don't see him being under any type of radar (BALLA will make sure of that. [IMG]).
