    We need to stop playing 1 on 1 iso offense, need to make the extra pass and amp up the defensive intensity

    A lot of it is perceived pressure. If we remain calm, we'll be able to play our normal game; or they'll start fouling.

    We have GOT to learn how to deal with physical teams (regardless of refs). That is why San Antonio handled us in the playoffs, and it will be our downfall again if we don't figure it out. Whenever we go against a physical team who isn't being called for fouls, we shrink away and our offense just withers. We start jacking shots out of rhythm and we shy away from any contact, or we throw up bad shots whenever we feel contact and hope for a call which never comes. Then we let it get into our heads and we even start badly missing open ones that we usually make. Time to man up!

    Absolutely this! This is how playoff basketball is. We need to learn how to defend physical like this as well. I would love the refs giving us rope too!

    Our missed three's have led to a number of fast breaks for Memphis. Need to shoot thrm better AND be aware and get back.

    Agreed as well although I would add that contenders play THEIR game not the opponents game. Shouldn't matter how the other team plays.

    We will never ever get the rope. Memphis does because in the playoffs their crowd literally has frightened Referees and they now respect them. Unless the Portland crowd actually hangs Scott foster from the Burnside bridge we will never get love.

    First, let me say that I love CJ and want to see him do well for us. I think he's flashed potential to be a great scorer off the bench. That being said, he hasn't shown the ability to do shit against a physical defense like this yet. He'd spend more time on the ground watching Memphis take the ball the other way than scoring.
