will the heat win their second champion ship in a row with the ruff start without shaq and jason williams been out early in the seson?
No, why even make a topic. I've said all along, 0% chance heat repeat. They're getting too old, shaq's not doing what he was, and Wade is more and more alone as a pushing force.
Nope, they will not. Yeah, it is early and they have a lot of time to get everything together, but there are teams out there (SA, Dallas, etc.) that would beat them this season in the Finals. Miami isn't even a lock to get out of the East... they might not even make it to the ECF.No way the Heat repeat this season... they just don't have that same sense of urgency they did last year (yes, even though they started off slowly). They are playing like they can just turn it on at the right time, and we all know how dangerous that can be...
No, I don't believe they will either... As much as I LOVED seeing them win it last year, that may be the only Championship DWade wins in Miami... That's not to say when fatass Shaq retires and if he stays with the Heat, they then can move to get another huge piece to help him out with another possible title... But who knows, I think Wade's new contract is only for 3 years, so he may not remain with the Heat for his entire career...

Shaq was just as bad last year in the playoffs as he is going to be this year...so I really dont see that as much of a factor as long as he plays in the playoffs. If this team is fully healthy, anything is possible. They havent lost any personell so I say that there is definitely a chance.Saying that though, they will not repeat. There is just too much competition in the entire league for them to do it. It is possible for them to make it to the finals, but I think Dallas, San Antonio, and even the Lakers could beat them in a 7 game series.
Yes, we have a shot. I know we've started slow, but this is pretty much the same EXACT team that won it all last year. We may be starting out slow this season, but we did last season too. Once Shaq and Jason Williams are back for us and are a 100% we will have a legit shot at the title. People were saying the same crap last year.."They're old, Shaq isn't the same, blah blah etc" Well we proved most everyone wrong and I think we can do it again.
Shaq needs to at least be on the floor during the playoffs for it to be possible. Wade can't do it by himself.(he ain't Kobe! )
I don't see it happening, I didn't think they deserved to win it last year. The entire roster is 1 year older and Mourning/Payton don't have that desire to win like they did last year. I don't think so.

Like BALLA said Payton/Mounring never won a chip till last year thats why they played their hearts out. Shaq is not the old Shaq anymore. Wade gets better and better but I see this team in the lottery or fighting for a spot in the playoffs in 2-3 years.
If the Heat win a second straight championship this year, I'll stop posting here for a month. You can quote that and put it in your sigs.
Not likely. I've been saying this for a while now. Different team, same Shaq. He did what he wanted to do, win a chip without Kobe. He no longer has any sense of urgency to win. D Wade is motivated, but he can't do it alone. And just to clarify I'm not saying this because of the Heat's bad start. Most of Shaq's teams have rough starts and work their way up in the league. I just think this year will be different. They could make the finals though, with the Eastern Conference being so pathetic. But they'd get malled by whoever comes out of the west.
I don't see it happening. Before, Payton, Walker, Zo, Posey, all those guys, they wanted it. They don't have a lot of chances left and Payton and Zo don't have much time left at all. They wanted that championship bad. Now that they have it, the drive to win it isn't as big as it was before. I mean, I have heard that players say after they win it, they want the second one more, but with guys like Payton and Zo, since they don't have much time left, it is kind of like, "well, if we don't get it again, at least we got it last season."I don't think they have the same drive as before (as a team in whole). Like BALLA said, injuries and everyone is a year older. Is it impossible? No. The world ending isn't impossible either, but I don't see that happening anytime soon either.
I think one thing we are overlooking is the question of Dwyane Wade's durability. I mean, he essentially had no time to rest up and heal over the summer. He played well into June because of the NBA Finals, then had to go to training camp and play for Team USA, and now the NBA has started up. It will all probably catch up with him at some point...

Not the Heat's fault Wade was using the rules to his advantage and the Mavericks didn't play with any balls late in the series.
We really need to step it up if were going to win it. Because, thee games we are losing. Are really going to hurt are playoff positioning.

Shaquille O'Neal is another year older, you didn't add anyone else significant to help in the rotation...Dorell Wright has been a nice suprise...I just don't see it happening this year.
they're a freakin' senior citizens home. I never thought that they'd repeat one second. they were lucky enough to win the first
