On twitter a few people recording Yankees have offered Scherzer a 6 or 7 year deal. Usually where there is smoke there is fire. I am secretly hoping for both him and Lester. Yeah I know I am dreaming but with no offense they can shore up pitching.
Interesting yet not surprising they're offering too many years & I'm sure too much dough for someone I don't believe is going to be able to handle NY... If true of course
Now that would make for a nice Xmas present. I have no doubt Max can handle the Bronx Zoo, no doubt. Yet, I fear his over pro-nation on his shoulder, elbow and wrist, is going to land him on the Surgeons Table sooner than later. Tho' I'm game for the acquisition. NO doubt the Yanx need a Southpaw Top Quality Pitcher. Give us Lowrie too. To bad we couldn't bag Donaldson.....damn it....! Come on Santa Claus, I will shoot you right out of the sky, in your sled, if you don't deliver Max, Lester, and TULO...! I'll shoot those damn reindeer too, and eat Venison all year long....
I still think Lester is going with a National League Club, the Cubs aren't ready to win , but the Cardinals and Giants at this point legitimate contenders are capable of a "win now gig". Right now with the contracts of Sabathia, and Tanaka, I'd hate to think of the Yankees handing zillions to a man who turned down what 6 and 144. The staff is shaky but a healthy Nova, improved Pineda, Greene, and McCarthy on a short deal is not bad at all.
Yeah, I understand where your coming from. Too many big big contracts to contend with, I read a decent article in the L.A. Times 2 weeks ago, how and why Lester will wind up in Frisco....! I wouldn't put it past Frisco to acquire Lester, his addition would be hell on the NL, esp. The NL West...! While the Bums still are in the shit house, still trying to figure out, who their 3rd, 4th and 5th starters are going to be. Ryu is 3rd and has been all of 2014. Not a bad southpaw, yet more of a #4 Pitcher, then they got the gutless Dan Haren, whose best days were 08 with a 16-8 Record, yet 09 with a 14-10 record was not that pretty at all. 09 IMO, was the beginning of the end in Oakland, and Haren has not had a decent year since he left Oakland. Haren is a burden on any teams pitching rotation. NTM, the Bums have serious Bullpen Problems, and Paco Rodriguez is not worthy of being a #10 starter in MLB. Guggenheim has endlessly deep pockets, yet Colletti has done shit for a GM job, in finding a combination of winning talent, over the next decade. Hell the Bums will be lucky to have a good year going forward, without a total rebuild, and shit canning has beens, even if they have to eat those millions of dollars...
Interesting, maybe just maybe Max will be in Pinstripes soon. Now for a crafty Southpaw.....! But then we have the MLB savior returning to DH, yes, the infallible unflappable, A-Roid, oh joy oh joy. After 2 years of not playing ball, I bet A-Roid can't even hit .250 by the AS Break. After more thought, I bet Alex can't hit .230 by the AS break. In 016 Alex will hit a paltry Stephen Drew type of hitter, around .210 on the entire year, if the Yanx allow him to grace the dugout, if Alex is lucky....
____________________________________ Isn't Twitter a bit like belly buttons? Everybody has one? Yanks do have salary coming off the books and Tex' after 2016...so who knows? Fine with me - no doubt Max is solid ...but I still have a bad taste in my mouth from the Yankee offense.
First two times, I clicked in this link, my Norton Anti-virus prevented the page from popping up, stating: "Malicious Malware Site"....
Not a prob Hammer, Besides its not your fault. If you didn't get a warning from your anti-virus system, then you were good to go, and besides, how would you know it was Malware, when your device never got a warning? It's all good, and again, not your fault....
_________________________ Lowrie does have good pop in his bat- -but is he a hitter who just happens to play SS with limited range? lol
