Not sure how our numbers rank overall but being at the game last night the amount of easy buckets at the rim seemed excessive. Love LA, but his help defense needs to be taken up a notch. Would it kill him to attempt a block shot in the paint? /Rant.

I haven't been able to watch any of the recent games. It sucks to hear that LMA has gone back to his sucky help-defense. Earlier I was actually a little impressed because he finally appeared to be playing help-D for the first time in his career.

What's important is that he showed he can play great help D. That shit is tiring, and I'm all for him saving his energy over the course of the season as long as the team is getting wins. It might help catch a first round opponent off guard in the playoffs, not expecting him to step it up.

I think it's our inability to grab clean defensive boards and not boxing out. How many times does the ball get tipped around and lands in the hands of one of our opponents bigs? Or when we don't box out and an easy dunk happens?

Watching Aldridge the last several games I personally think he's dealing with a minor injury or two. His stat line from last night aside, he really doesn't appear to be 100% and in general really seems to be shying away from the post on offense and getting physical on defense at times. But this isn't just Aldridge. Freeland didn't look good on defense either last night. And while Kaman/Lopez had some blocks, it felt like a layup/FT drill on them as well for most of the game. Of course, if our perimeter players could stay in front of their man for more than half a step that might help.

The team just hasn't looked that good lately. With the upcoming schedule I hope they figure it out soon.
