Re: Amare! For all you people that said Amare will not come back strong, look at him now! He is a beast out there! And Nash was loving it last game. When he threw a little bounce pass to Amare for a high flying power dunk, he started smiling and laughing.
Re: Amare! Amare has been pretty impressive, His numbers are average but he's getting back into form. I want to see if he can keep it up for an entire 82 game season. That could really wear down his knee.
Re: Amare! As I said a few weeks ago, once he gets more involved and more minutes, he will be great and the team will start winning. Since he became a starter he has put up 20/10 (excluding the game where he was sick), and team went from being 1-3 to 6-3 since he locked up the starting spot. Much of his athleticism is back (still not quite there yet), his teammates are far more acclimated with him, Nash and Amare's pick and roll is still very much hard to defend, he is running floor, and much of his vertical leap is back. He is also being more agressive and showing off the jumper every once in awhile.Don't be surprised if he puts up around 22-25PPG and 9-10RPG after All Star Break.
Re: Amare! Amare's really starting to show his old self out there... It's great to see... I think he'll be able to do it for the full season and into the playoffs... He's SO young, he just turned 23 last week actually... He NEEDS to maintain this effort for the remainder of the regular season and playoffs... I think a positive thing to note too, is if you look at Zach Randolph over in Portland... He had the same procedure a coupla seasons ago, and he's having the season of his career so far... So that's a real motivator for Amare' as well...

He's always been a banger down low and relied moreso on jumpers and what not to get his points. Amare utilizes his athleticism more than Randolph does.Either way, Amare is almost there... hopefully the surgery doesn't effect his performance later on his career.
Re: Amare! I am very surprised at his progress and excited about how much he is helping the team, but he's not there yet. He still doesn't have the hops that he did but that's alright. He's showing some very impressive moves out there. All I'd like to see is a more consistent jumper that was there at the end of the season two years ago and last year. The team is starting to get used to him. Diaw and Nash are making nice passes to him. Only thing is how will Marion react....

If he doesn't like that Amare is returning and he is going to lose some of the focus, tough. As much as I like Marion, if he is going to get upset about Amare coming back, then he deserves to be traded...
Re: Amare! Well Marion is already jealous of Amare' and Nash because THEY have bobble-head dolls and he doesn't (or they came out with new ones in the team shop, and not one for him) it's like "Who f*cking cares?!?" The man's getting paid sh*t-loads of money, just go out and play and don't worry about any of the other sh*t... I had read there was tension between he and Amare'... Well if there is, they hide it well enough on the court it seems.
Re: Amare! I really don't think Shawn Marion will care much for this since he quite enjoyed playing with Amare a couple seasons back, They will be fine .. Marion just has to adjust somethings at the moment.
