Portland won that game in a good way. They got more assist and more in the paint. They got two more baskets even with a lower shooting percentage overall, with the outside long ball not so good.
The assists inside, in the paint did the trick, like the last hoop Lamarcus to Rollo for two and the win. Perhaps Nic had more of a part in this win than many acknowledge.
Damn! I like to watch that sort of play.

You don't get 13 assists by not participating in the offense.

You nailed it! Well said! Nico had 3 steals along with his 13 dimes and shutdown their shooters when it counted. That end play to Rolo was perfect!

That had to be the play of the game. The Mikes, Denver, us, no one saw that coming!

Nic is playing a Bruce Bowen role right now and is playing better than his shooting is showing. It will come around for him in that area eventually, you don't become a bad shooter overnight.

Late to the party - but that was a great win! Playing in Denver where we're historically awful, against a team that is playing much better since our last meeting, and we take another on their home court. It also leaves us with only 1 more game against that team and that's in Portland - hopefully the Nuggets can help us out with wins against the other contenders the rest of the way.

When did Bruce Bowen get 13 assists? By the way, why isn't George Karl coaching the Nuggets? He got them the third seed and won coach of the year. Yes, they lost in first round but that happens. They've been awful since he left.

Just got done watching the game. Wow! it was so frustrating to watch at times... but they somehow did it on the road. that last play to rolo was awesome.

The refs really fucked lillard on his 3rd and 5th foul. that 5th foul was a game changer. Glad we fucked them right back by winning anyway.

Is Stotts the best coach at drawing out of bounds plays?

Then I'm an idiot, because if the season ended today, I' give the MVP to Marc Gasol. Yes, Davis has gaudy individual stats, but Gasol does more to help his team win. MEM is 15-2, the best record in the entire league. NOP is 8-8, in last place in their division and would miss the playoffs if the season ended today. Winning does count for something when voting for MVP.

Valid argument. And if you want to take it further, should there be a high potential for a Grizzlies finals appearance the NBA would want to have somebody to sell.

So would you roll the dice this summer and try to sign him to a max deal?

If LeBron can leave Cleveland, I think Gasol can leave Memphis.

If you could choose between Damian Lillard/LaMarcus Aldridge or Mike Conley/Zach Randolph, who would you choose?
