Bob Montgomery, a songwriter and producer who wrote hits for pop and country artists from Buddy Holly to Eddy Arnold, died Dec. 4 in Lee’s Summit, Mo. He was 77. The cause was Parkinson’s disease, publicist Greg Matusky said. Bobby LaRoy Montgomery was born in Lampasas, Tex., on May 12, 1937, and spent his teen years in Lubbock, Tex.
