League executives say that the Rangers and Glen Sather are looking to add a forward.(Ottawa Sun)

The executive said that Sather is searching for a “lopsided deal” which is hard to find. (Ottawa Sun)

This is what we need. What will make it tougher is our cap situation, we don't have a lot of room. Hopefully Sather can make something work though.

Shouldn't be that hard with some prospects for a Foligno or Perron type. I'd look at Boedker maybe too.

For starters, promising to play a player like Hayes at center to get him to sign is dumb. If they continue to do that, they need to let somebody else take the draws. There was a time I wanted Vermette here forever. Then, with his salary I didn't think so. However, with Maloney going nuts over there now, you could probably get him to take back some salary back. Vermette is a UFA agent next year. So, it doesn't make a lot of sense to bring him in. He's winning 53% of his draws. Hanzel is 27, tremendous defensively and is winning 59% of his draws. He's 6'6 and isn't a UFA for another 2-3 years. Maloney loves Miller. I'm pretty sure if you made them take Glass back and packaged a deal of Miller, Moore, Glass and perhaps Kristo that would get it done. Let Hanzel take all the draws if they continue to use Hayes as a center because Hayes can't win any draws. He sucks.

Rangers don't need an offensive player as much as a defensive player who can win faceoff's and chip in 30-35 points. The team sucks defensively and has all season.

The team sucks. Hayes sucks. The team sucks defensively. Good stuff dump...LOL.

We need another top 9 forward and have all year. The positive is Sather sees it also, so as time moves on hopefully something happens.

And BTW dump...NO ONE wants Glass and his 3 year deal. Maybe if the pot is sweet enough we can get another team to take him, but on the surface that deal is awful, and everyone knows it...outside of AV that is...not just us. AV might play him tonight, so we might not want to deal him anyway.

I don't really get the 'lopsided' deal part, did Sather say that to someone? With the decent prospect depth there's definately a fair trade to be made. They definately need faceoff help but really a guy with a shot who can make hay in the slot and around the net. Too many weak, predictable shooters on the roster.

Chuck, you read at a 5th grade level. Don't respond to my posts again until your brain learns to read at a H.S. level.

LOL...that's the dump we love. I actually posted everything you said correctly.

You started a thread that says this team sucks.
You just said in this thread "The team sucks defensively and has all season."
And you also just said "Hayes can't win any draws. He sucks."

And then when I called you on it in another thread your response was:

"Chuck, the only words out of your mouth should be this team sucks. You're the only one on this board who doesn't see it."

So that is all stuff you clearly said. The only one there is any wiggle room on is Hayes, maybe you were only saying he sucks at FO's and not overall, but I know you are also not a Hayes fan.

Overall this is all stuff you said, but I agree I read at a 5th grade level. You rock dump. Please keep the good stuff coming bro.

And BTW dump...for the record...it's all good bro that you think we suck. That is 100% your right to feel that way. I am not here to police you or tell you not to feel how you feel, you do you. BUT I am going to point out when I disagree with you, and I happen to think you are way over the top right now with "how much we suck".

Don't write things clear as day black and white, and then tell me I don't know how to read when all I did was question you on things that you clearly wrote that I disagree with. That's my only point. You think we suck...awesome good for you for feeling that way...but don't act like I am making stuff up when I disagree.

    BTW...Met division standings today:

    Isles 38 points...29 games played.
    Caps 31 points...28 GP.
    Us 28 points...26 GP.
    Devs 27 points...30 GP.
    Flyers 25 points...28 GP.
    CBJ 24 points...28 GP.

So factoring in games in hand for us here is how the points would look:

    Isles 38
    Us 34

    Caps 31
    Us 32

    Us 36
    Devs 27

    Us 32
    Flyers 25

    Us 32
    CBJ 24

Not an exact science, but we'd be way ahead of the Devs, Flyers, BJ's if we win those games in hand. 1 ahead of the Caps. And only 4 behind the Isles.

So again, despite how much we have "sucked" we are right there and can still finish 2nd in the Met if we start to play better hockey. Next 3 in Western Canada will be interesting. I'd love 4 of 6 points...then come back East and beat the Canes. Wouldn't complain about getting 5 of the next 8 possible points let's say.

And BTW...like I said last week...watch the BJ's now that they are healthy. Won 5 straight. That is the team that concerns me the most in the Met with regards to playoff position (certainly more than the Flyers, Devs, and even the Caps).

Blue Jackets will never do crap as long as Jack Johnson is on defense because he sucks beyond belief.
