Thank you Kevin Klein. By far one of the better Rangers this year.

Someone, please tell our new captain to start playing hockey. He is so timid.

My god, I'm sorry but you guys all need to chill...I mean it is crazy.

Is Torts coaching. Staal is a joke. Team needs to be blown up. Staal should be traded. McDonagh is playing like crap. The usual shot against Girardi by sc.

Chill out guys please. It is nutso. Anything goes bad and we flip out.

Clearly we are losing focus for stretches, tonight against Pitt and last game against the Wings for example, but come on. This team will find its way. Looks at the pluses. Hayes has been very good and is getting better. Nash is a beast. MSL has been playing really well. Klein has been our best dman. All good stuff.

And now for some great stuff, despite all the injuries, despite all the suckiness from so many players as you all claim, despite Hank struggling, despite AV sucking as some of you claim, Zucc 4 goals, Kreider 4 goals...despite ALL THAT if the season ended today we'd be in the playoffs.

So it ain't that bad fellas...relax a little guys...:).

    chuck,
the way they were playing in the third period, it seemed like Torts was coaching again. Do you even watch the games?

I do...I am just keeping perspective...sorry about that. I will try and come on here and act as if the sky is falling, and say everyone sucks and everyone should be fired more often...:).

Anyway, the funny thing is, the team that "concerns" me the most looking ahead to a potential 3rd place battle in the Met is CBJ. As that team gets healthy they will be tough. I think they are better than the rest of those teams we'll potentially battle with for 3rd (not sure how I really feel about the Caps yet).

One thing I think 85% of you have to admit, is for a team with a whole bunch of suck ass players and a sucky coach, they are actually doing pretty well being in playoff position (tied with the Caps) if the season ended today. That is pretty good considering how much we suck up and down. Have to admit that guys.

No, it didnt seem like Torts was coaching. They were still attempting their breakouts and not doing a group exit. The forwards were not nearly as down low in support as they were under Torts. They were still trying their 3 man entry instead of dump and chase (for the most part). The Pens point men were not nearly as open at even strength. The crease was not nearly as crowded.

This is what's wrong with this board now. Nobody talks actual hockey anymore. It's all whining and one-sentence complaints like a bunch of teenagers about how every player we have is awful and we should trade him for another player that we'll hate the second he puts on a Rangers jersey anyway.

You nailed it a couple of weeks ago Prod, and you were 100% right. It is crazy man. Not my job, or anyones job, to police this board and tell people how to feel and what to write, but I will say people need to relax. It gets bad in here when anything goes wrong. Chill out people...please.

You know I want no part of re-signing Staal for what he will ask for. So I am not Staal fan sc. But he is still a solid dman overall. I would say a low # 2 dman/high # 3 dman, and there is obviously value in that. Even though I am not a Staal fan and don't love how the O has totally disappeared from his game, he still adds value to this team and gets big minutes against very good players on the other side, and that is worth something.

This team will be fine guys.....Jeez. Definitely not playing that well yet but the talent is there we have all seen it, we saw it last year.

With Staal it might be a blessing. He has to be moved vs resigning him to a Girardi contract. See ya Marc

It almost looks to me like he's going through the motions this year, whether it's contract related or not. That's the bothersome part.

I don't see that much difference between this year and the past couple years. Yeah the defense has been worse but Hank will find his game, he always does....Just doesn't this time of year typically

LOL. I meant the third period. All they were doing is flipping pucks out of the zone and it would end up on the pens players sticks all third period long. There were no attempts to enter the zone as one unit.

Hayes emerging like he has been is big for this year's team, though they still need another piece.

Well Prod, the biggest problem with this board is Chuck just spouts everything is fine crap and doesn't want to hold anybody on this team accountable. Ever. He always takes the, the team will be fine crap. It won't be this year with 3 rookies in the lineup unless the vets or guys with a couple season experience play a heck of a lot better.

Oh dump...you said the same thing last year, and the same thing the year before that, and so on. Same old stuff from you my friend.

I also find your comments funny when they come a few posts after I get on Staal again saying he is solid but no shot I want him back. For the past week I have been as critical of Kreider and Zucc as anyone on here, they both need to step it up clearly. And Boyle has really struggled as well, and has me concerned if he can get back to being a solid player again given his age.

So just stop bro. Sorry if I don't come on here and rip everyone, say everyone sucks, say the coach sucks, say the season is over when we are in playoff position as we speak. Sorry if I don't do that dump.

I think it's smarter to say things will improve because we expect guys like Mcdonagh and Kreider to be much better. I don't like the well last year this and that happened so this year it will be the same.
