Last night was an exciting group of nail biters! Hopefully tonight we will have just as much excitement as we did last night. There are a lot of games to watch, with many helping our playoff seeding. So make sure to cast your vote and see how you fair! 1.) Portland Trailblazers @ Detroit Pistons: Obviously this is the game to watch. In the end, as long as Portland is taking care of business, we can control our destiny. Detroit has lost 12 in a row, but the last 3 games went down to the wire. It seems Drummond is starting to play like we are used to seeing and Monroe is beast in the low post. Portland is still undefeated vs Eastern Conference teams, we are riding a 4 game win streak and still hold a road winning streak of 6 games. We need Batum to have a stellar performance, so we can end the game early. Root for the Blazers! 2.) Toronto Raptors @ Cleveland Cavs: This will be an interesting match up. These are two possible teams to come out of the East. Cleveland has become a much better team as of late, winning 7 in a row. Raptors just came off an emotional win and still playing like a contender without their star Derozen. This is really a toss up game in terms of who I want to win, but I'm still a Love hater. For that reason, I want Cleveland fall. Root for Toronto! 3.) Dallas Mavericks @ Memphis Griz: A marquee match-up in the toughest division in the NBA. To put this division into perspective, NOLA is last with a 9-10 record!!!! Memphis is #1 in Points allowed, while Dallas is #1 in points scored. Will defense or offense win? I would really like to see Memphis lose this game. I want the best record in the League! Root for Dallas! 4.) New York Knicks @ New Orleans Hornets: New York is losers of 8 in a row, with their last loss being a nail biter against our ball club. Nola has been on the same weird losing skid with a record of 4-6 in their last 10. I think Nola will win this game, pushing the knicks into a further "free fall". Root for NOLA! 5.) Milwaukee Bucks @ OKC Thunder: I would of thought getting Westbrook and Durant back would get the Thunder back into dominance, but they have been struggling to put away crappy teams. Something I'm not very used to! Most of this must be due to the timing of the players and adjusting to their old ways. Still, OKC has a stellar defense that can still keep them in games and they have the most clutch player in the league right now. Milwaukee isn't a team you can discount... They have such a fun defense, with a herky jerky offense that plays chaos ball! I'm not betting the house, but I must root for the underdog! Root for Milwaukee Bucks! 6.) Miami Heat @ Phoenix Suns: Phoenix just came off a heart breaking loss vs. the Clips. Griffin's prayer broke the backs of the Suns. The game vs Miami could give us a gauge on the mental toughness of the Suns. Miami has become a decent mediocre team, that still has 2 stars leading the way. The problem with Miami is their bigs, well, lack thereof. Suns have a ton of bigs. Still, you want cushion against the Western Conference teams, so the choice must be Miami. Root for Miami! 7.) San Antonio Spurs @ Utah Jazz: Utah has lost 9 in a row, while has a 9-1 record in their last 10. Utah has a few up and coming talent with Favors, Hayward and Burke, but they are just too young to give San Antonio any real challenge. Hopefully Pop decides to rest his stars to give Utah a chance. I highly doubt it, since SAS didn't play last night. Root for Utah! 8.) Sacramento Kings @ Loss Angeloss Lakers: WIN IT FOR BOOGIE! This has been the motto for the Kings, since Cousins went down with viral meningitis. The Kings and their fans hate the Lakers as much as any other franchise, so the motivation factor is at an all time high! Kobe has his eye on the Jordan scoring record and he's been a little more selfish to pass that achievement. Will that effect the Lakers and their focus? I sure hope so! Root for Sacramento! So there you have it! Make sure you vote in the poll to keep it going! GO BLAZERS!!!!
Not a bad night... Dallas, Spurs and Suns lose. I would have rather Memphis lose, but I'll take the Dallas loss. OKC needs to lose
And/or we need to win. We are basically trading buckets with them at this point. But the great thing is that we can control our own destiny if we want to.
