Only 4 teams in the entire Conference have a winning record, While only 4 teams in the West have a losing record. The East is pathetic...

(I hope some of you got that) As pathetic as the Eastern Conference is, on NBA Fastbreak they brought up how it's said every year that the West is better then the East, but the East has won the past 2 out of 3 titles. Rack your brains on that ONE!

They aren't teams that usually bring their A-Game in the regular season, they pace themselves and they are really ready to go come April. I think that will happen with Miami. I don't think they will win it all, but I think they will still make some white hot noise. But overall, Rok, the East is pathetic.Did You Know?Every team in the Western Conference, except Memphis, would make the Eastern Conference playoffs (winning % wise).

Yeah, that's amazing... I really hope an Eastern Team wins it all this year if Phoenix doesn't make it to the Finals.... I'm sick of Dallas and the Spurs...

It's sad to watch, eastern conference basketball is pathetic. I've noticed that a lot of the NBA's better general managers and management are located in the western conference. (Dallas, San Antonio, Utah, Pheonix, Sacramento, Memphis...etc...thats one of the reasons the eastern conference has yet to catch up in my opinion. Lots of bad management in the east (Philadelphia, Atlanta, Milwaukee, Orlando, New York, Washington)

Orlando has been playing well, and they are a pretty good team, but they won't go far in the playoffs. Cleveland isn't there yet, Miami will be up and down until the All-Star break, Detroit is finally playing solid but nothing mind-blowing, New Jersey has been terrible (lose 6 of their last 7 games), Chicago has been terrible, and the rest of the East is a complete joke compared to Western Conference playoff teams (even most non-playoff teams).I remember a couple years ago, Kenny Smith (maybe it was Greg Anthony?) called the Eastern Conference the "JV League." They look like the Co-Ed League right now.

come all-star break the east will look a lot different. the heat are struggling with age and shaqless. the pistons got off to a slow start but have a nice 6 game winning streak. chicago is too good of a team to have that record. they always start off slow because of that damn circus so they'll start winning. they ave like 9 or 10 home games coming up. also, don't kill me for this but the knicks will start turning some heads. they're not going to be an elite team, they're far from it but they have 11 games at home in december against teams they should beat. november was tough but that's over now. they're 1-6 at home but that isn't gonna last, they're also getting it done on the road 5-5 which one of the best in the conference.

I don't mind Dirk, and I really like Josh Howard, I think he's the Mavs' future actually.... I think that California and Texas have too many teams... 3 and 4 teams is just too many! [IMG]

Aye, get some teams in places like Iowa, Idaho, Montana or one of the Dakota's... Spread it all out a little more evenly, I teams like the Clippers and Warriors go easily move from CA to Idaho and Montana... I don't know, thing is if they did that they may fail to make money and cease to be a franchise at that point, due to the lack of population in those states... Hell, I read somewhere that Montana has more fu*kin' livestock then it does people! [IMG]

The reason there aren't teams in Montana, the Dakotas, Iowa, etc., is because they can't support a team. A franchise there would fail within a year. On the other hand, Texas and California are two of the most populous states in America. There's no problem supporting a bunch of teams in each sport for them. I guess it would be cool to see the Idaho Potatoes beat the Spurs, but realistically they would be business suicide.Edit: I didn't read the last post

In my opinion, the only 2 legitiment teams in the East right now are Orlando and Detroit. It is really sad to see. Last year was the first year in a while that they were at least close to the western conference and now this....The NBA goes in cycles like this so im not TOO surprised. In 5-10 years, the Easter Conference will be the better conference. Even though I doubt it will ever be by this much...

I also believe that come playoff time, the Cavaliers will beat the Pistons if they should play each other again. I really feel the they are the most legit team in the East.

I think if there's just one pro team there they will support it very well. But there are some more deserving cities. But seriously...Montana, Dakota? Hah...I think Oklahoma City should get one with the way they've supported the Hornets.
