...I seriously don't think he can even pass as a part time DH...hell, his hitting skills had already diminished dramatically the last time he played and that was a long time ago...he had become a strike out machine (1 out of every 3.62 ABs) who could no longer catch up to a fast ball and could not lay off the breaking ball...those things don't improve with time.
...And he will not have faced MLB pitching in nearly 2 years by the time ST begins. He's out of Baseball shape and when you're 40 years old that does not return with a flip of a switch.

    ...ARod is toast.

I can easily foresee A-Roid striking out at a 70% K-Rate, if opposing pitchers continue to serve him his outside low gopher pitch. (yep, that ones outside the K-Zone, [gopher] go for it). Or-even now, that he's aged not so well as wine, other than (Thunderbird or MD20/20)......if not thrown the outside low ball, the inside pitches Alex will foolish always be late on.....Hell, I can't see Alex hitting anything.....!!!

Does anyone else see Cashman's comment as a bit sarcastic or self serving?: "Did I call Arizona? Yes,’’ Cashman said. “Did I call Detroit? Yes. I didn’t have Cespedes to send to Detroit. We are waiting for something we are comfortable with.’’

And that folks sounds like the entirety of the Yanx GM Meetings, other than what was served for Lunch of Course. Hell, instead of putting chocolates on pillows at the Manchester Hyatt, I'd of bribed a housemaid, what ever it took to leave a big pile of shit on his pillows, that's all he deserved, and all he's left us fans with.....!
