    Nov 6th against Dallas.

Looking over our schedule that really shocked me. The other "big" wins we had were against Cleveland when they were totally out of sink and learning to play with each other; Chicago when they sat multiple starters; and OKC without Durant. Our schedule has been softer than I thought. Outside of Dallas we lost every game against legit winning teams; Warriors, Clips, Grizz and Bulls.

    The next 6 games gives us a chance to make a statement though;

Against good teams we beat Mavs, Cavs, NO
Lost: Clippers, Warriors, Memphis, Chicago (not counting win where they had so many out)

So that's 3-4. The Clippers and Warriors games were really close though, could have gone either way.

The Golden State game should have been a win, but it was one of the worst meltdowns on inbound passing I can remember.

I'm worried about our defense against those squads. We can't stop the fastbreak so I can see the Spurs, OKC and Houston feasting on our poor transition D.

If we go 3-3 in that stretch, then we are on track. If I were to pick the 3 games I want to win, it would be OKC, SAS at home and Houston. I would accept losing on the road to SAS, NOLA and having a let down game vs Milwaukee.

We definitely have an opportunity to be 4-2, if we don't let down vs Milwaukee.

Yup. I said this a few weeks ago. We haven't beat quality teams (yet). This team has a LONG ways to go before they can think about being a contender.

If Batum can play like he did last night, I don't think there is a team in the NBA that can beat us.

If the haters don't hate and root for Batum to have awesome games, that will only help our team.

A contender doesn't have to roll their dice on the performance of a key starter.

During the Bulls game, the announcers said that Portland was 10-0 against the East, and 4-4 against teams with > .500 records.

If we can stay around .500 against "elite teams", that's ok IMO

every win is a quality win in the NBA. When you're 4th or 3rd in the west, you're playing pretty good ball. A two game losing streak was going to happen at some point but it doesn't compare to the winning streaks, division play or road record. I think we're still right on track for 60 wins and the team has always seemed to play better against contenders. The sixers almost beat the Grizz last night. Wolves beat us outright on their homecourt. No big deal.

How many times have we heard that? :sigh:

I think having a scoring point guard and a play making SF even out to some degree, but it sure would be nice to see Nic in FIBA mode more often.

I agree. It has been extremely frustrating to watch Batum bring energy less than half a season.

For most of last season, the Spurs lost most of their games against teams with good records. They went 0-4 against Houston in fact. And then they won the title. Beating all the bad teams is what contenders do. We were 1-3 against Houston last season but ousted them in the playoffs. In my book, all 18 of our wins are quality wins. Also, the reason Cleveland was out of "sink" (really?) is because they played a team like ours. Remember, Cleveland made their first 10 shots in that game. Not exactly out of SYNC.

Are all of Houston's wins quality wins as well?

Anyone that thinks Houston isn't a good team now has to learn the game, then post.

What's the difference between now and when they are 9-3?

All wins are big wins. You need a shitload of wins to get to the first round. It's the teams that lose occasionally to weak teams that go fishing.

The last NBA game win of the playoffs is the biggest.
