And I will go out on a limb and say- Luis Severino, Gregory Bird and Aaron Judge are probably just as good a trio of prospects with as high a ceiling than most other trios from other higher rated farm systems.

Aaron Judge is a monster - big athletic O.F. with HR power and SB speed.....Bird is a legitimate power hitting prospect, and Severino is probably on every team's radar screen when it comes to trade requests.

Given the results of the last three winter trade meetings I guess the Angels, Mariners, Dodgers, White Sox, Marlins, and Cubs are not trying to "buy" championships. Fact does remain though that the monies owed to Old Man Tex, Can't Compete Sabathia, the Druggist, and to status unsure Tanaka are urine in the cookie jar. Glad the Yankees are holding on to prospects but some under the radar moves akin to getting Prado, Mc Carthy, and Headley would be nice.

Tanaka ....Tanaka is the big concern. Tough break for him and the Yanks with his elbow barking.
I still believe CC can be a good (if not ace-type) pitcher. While he's lost a few MPH on his fastball, he has always had a good breaking ball and change-up- and a 90 mph fastball is good enough to supplement those other pitches because he's always had good command of all three pitches.

Headley has been a solid 3b who can put up a good OBP number and double figure HRs...but he's asking for 14-16 mil per over 4 years? oops.

I know what you mean about those other teams and the media --- the Yankees are the only team who BUY PLAYERS... lmao

"Several Times bitten, numerous times shy", from the Gun...!

Sub-Par Mgmt. since The Boss, left His Crown....!

Nothing like building a strong team from within. Investing in a deep and strong Minor Lg. System. That, add a couple of Free Agents, (SP's right NOW)....and you've got the cocktail mix, just fine.

With way too many Millions galore, hanging over their heads, buying into a Physical DL Breakdown several times over...!!

It would not be like this if The Boss were still in command....!
