The problem is that Headley outside of one season puts up numbers worthy of a platoon player.

Dividend/Profit sharing, a great concept, maybe provided to a player who has played on the same team for ???? 10 years, and they're vested...! Good Idea Tote...! LOL...!

You know tho' Movies are not a sport, watching the way Jack Nicholson would take less pay, while contractually receiving a percentage of Batman/Joker profits, from an industry that often yields more cash than the movie itself. Or at least a very nice fat bonus system...

On this mornings Sports center Headley was quoted as saying that he turned down more money to stay with the Yankees. From who?

That's just nuts. $16.5 per for a player with his numbers.

Rick, if you want to reply and have a discussion its helpful if you actually address the points I made. Instead you just waived everything into a lump and called it worthless. Look, you have a problem and its really holding you back. These guys are entertainers, entertainers may a lot of money for what appears minimal effort. Its a pretty exclusive club and your rules of life/reality don't necessarily translate onto them. These facts will never change...let it go. They have a much better union representing them. This isn't the game you played as a kid....this is a big business version. Their union agreed to suspensions and fines, but no other ramifications can be enforced upon a player once they do their time. This is why we have to tap dance around ARod and let him fail to perform, their are no other viable legal angles unless the FEDS make a case. the MLBPA has made sure players aren't being punished further for having been caught "cheating" as you put it.

I am 100% right here, I know you and many others don't like it, but this is baseball in the 21st century. My suggestion, for the love of the game, let it go. Enjoy what happens between the lines. Because no one is getting pay cuts, their will always be ways for someone to gain an advantage and people who will take those advantages.

I want #28, #29 and #30! Everything else are details.
