The game against Atlanta was very sloppy offensively for the Wizards, and mainly Gil did poorly in setting up the offense (9 TOs).Bench Points - Haywood and Hayes did a good job off the bench against Atlanta (Haywood with 8 pts and 8 rebs, and Hayes with 9 pts). Daniels struggled a bit going 2-5 in 25 minutes of play, though he did manage to get 4 assists. However, players off the bench like Tyronn Lue for Atlanta went crazy, going for 18 pts. We can't let that happen against Charlotte (only good bench player is Knight).Battle in the Paint - Okafor most likely would match up with Etan Thomas, Okafor has the advantage in skill set over Etan Thomas, so Okafor should win this battle. Etan has to man up defensively if he wants to limit Okafor to less than 10 pts and 5 rebounds. That most likely won't happen, so I see Okafor having a good night.Getting back on track - Bobcats' Gerald Wallace has been struggling as of late. Charlotte has to free him up for easy buckets. I dont know what is bothering Gerald Wallace so far in the season. My prediction: 104-99 Wizards
Gilbert cannot get caught up with the referee actions as the game goes on, he just needs to play his game and he'll end up with a good night. I don't think the battle in the paint won't be as a much of a factor as the Bobcats' shooting threats from Morrison and Wallace. Anybody with a good shot can come and beat the Wizards, easy as that, so Washington will need to do a good job containing the perimeter.

Yay, we won. I held my breath when Charlotte started making that big run at the end of the 4th.. but we managed to put it away. Defense was terrible tonight, I think we only won this game by outshooting them. However, there were so many great plays in this game. I just loved the ball movement, and Arenas was great in setting up his teamates for easy buckets. Protecting the ball is still in an issue for him, however. A win is a win, nevertheless. We got Chicago tommorow on THEIR homecourt. The Bulls have been struggling this year with their new team, but we all know how deadly they can be (especially during the 4th) at home. I hope we can pull it off though it'll be pretty tough. Here's to winning two in a row. :drunk:
The Boobcats weren't much as a threat on offense as they were in the first half, but the ball movement was great tonight. They had 13 field goals off 10 assists in the first quarter, and it didn't stop there as they finished off with 28 assists. With the fire-power the Wizards have here, it's a lot easier to spread the defense, therefore finding the open guy like Etan and Haywood had down-low.The big trio was not to be denied out there, Caron has been playing like he has all season, Arenas did a good job finding his teammates more than scoring and Antawn had one of his better shooting nights on the floor and you have to believe we'll need his shooting presence out there every night.
I know I'm late with this game but the trio of Arenas, Jamison, and Butler combined for 79 points.... Wow.They shot a combined 58% from the field.
Well they are one of the best trio's in the league. Probably the most underrated at least. They scored the most points as a trio last year, not many people know that.
