NO!!! I wanted to do this game thread. Ahh Well. Anyways This should be a good game, these are very similar teams in many ways I think, but our frontcourt is better in terms of size, theres is better in scoring. So it should be a good game.

We have the toughness advantage over everyone except Bosh. Also, RF#1, do you know if Mo-Pete is playing or not?
His status is questionable, I think it is a gametime decision. Also: If we win tonight, we jump ahead alot in the standings, 2nd or 3rd I think.

If you win tonight, you don't automatically move to 2nd. If New York wins too, then they are 2nd, you are 3rd, Philly/Boston would be tied for last.

But in some ways I thinks the Celtics can, if you throw it at the Raptors the other way, how will Parker/Jones be able to handle Pierce? How will they handle Wally? I expect them to switch alot between the two, and I think eithier is bound to have a excellent game. Also, adressing the bigs situation, we have a bigger frontcourt, and ours scorers more, but I think we will get killed on the glass, they're a very good rebounding team.Their backcourt has a lot of depth as multiple players can play any of the SG, or SF positions, but hopefully we can get enough points in the paint and stretch the defense abit.

I dont think that's a problem. Fred Jones and Anthony Parker are above average defenders anyway. After that - who scores? If one of them has an off day, then they wont be that great offensively. And they are a good rebounding team, but I dont think that really matters. Bosh is a great rebounder anyway, and he should be able to win some one on one rebounding battles.

I agree, they are a very good rebounding team, and that would matter, but it doesn't, partially because 2nd chance points are usually around the bucket, but the Celts dont have very good scoring bigs. And on the other hand, if they both have a good game, then we have a problem, espicially, if one score 25+ points. I dont think that will happen necessarily, but Im sure they will take advantage (or try to go right at them) of players like Bargs, Garbo, Humphries, (hes been getting playing time), and Jones and Ford of the Pick and Rolls, thats what teams have been doing lately to us.
There's absolutely no reason why the C's should lose this game... This is a good opportunity to pick up another win, and I'll be quite disappointed if they don't.
Up and down first half. Pierce looked like Steve Nash out there, which was awesome, but he needs to get into an offensivegroove without forcing it in the 2nd half. Wally needs to play a bit better, Bassy needs to penetrate, Perk needs to stay out of foul trouble. Gomes played excellent, Delonte was ok, Tony Allen played great defense, Gerald Green played pretty well. Big Al was solid, but he had problems with Bosh guarding him. 2nd half goals: - Get Pierce involved efficiently. - Rebound better. - Play better defense. - Keep exploiting Al in the post.
you gotta love Paul Pierce..he gives it all hes got every night and he never quits even when he's injuredhaha I smell a rivalry brewing after those last 2 fast breaks that ended in collisionsthe celtics are seriously f*cking trash
exciting, fast game it was fun I couldnt stop watching....all I gotta say is BOOOOSSSH<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (playaofthegame @ Dec 1 2006, 09:19 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}></div><div class='quotemain'>the celtics are seriously f*cking trash</div> why do you say that, just because you lost
Raptors win!Bosh was key for us. We almost blew it with Calderon turning it over..OOO im glad we won..Now we can try to take advantage of a sh*t NY team with Marbuiry doing jack squat. I can smell us being 7-10..Pierce..man..just an awesome player, and a great leader. Too bad the rest of your team is inconsistent..Pierce just killed us with constand shot fake fouls, going to the basket, using his strength, etc..It is impossible for Pierce to have a bad game..what a player.Anthony Parker was amazing for us. He had 15 int he first half. He took it to the basket with ease, and he hit his jumpers for the most part. TJ Ford was incredible dishing out the ball as always.I want to praise Rasho a bit. He was great downlow getting us some points. He has good touch inside. He may not have much of a post game, but hey, with his touch + length; drop it down there, and you can count on a basket. Also, I thought he played great defense. He consistently stopped Boston in the later minutes, and imo it was a dumb decision to take him out with 1 minute or w/e to go. He was swatting everything, including that bs foul that they called on him. Garbajosa also played good D.Gotta love Bargnani keeping our 3 pt streak alive..Im telling you guys..the streak wont end for another 5 years or so..We wont let it happen. Two days ago Darrick Martin preserved it..We've gotta get Mo back so we have no more close calls on it haha..I called the game fellas. We play really good at home believe it or not, and no offense or anything, but you guys arent really a good team or anything..btw, a win against NY, and a Jersey lost and we'll have the 4th seed in the east <div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (Suddenrapz16 @ Dec 1 2006, 10:38 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}></div><div class='quotemain'>exciting, fast game it was fun I couldnt stop watching....all I gotta say is BOOOOSSSH why do you say that, just because you lost</div>What?
