QUOTE (CB4AllStar @ Dec 1 2006, 09:45 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>

Raptors win!Bosh was key for us. We almost blew it with Calderon turning it over..OOO im glad we won..Now we can try to take advantage of a sh*t NY team with Marbuiry doing jack squat. I can smell us being 7-10..Pierce..man..just an awesome player, and a great leader. Too bad the rest of your team is inconsistent..Pierce just killed us with constand shot fake fouls, going to the basket, using his strength, etc..It is impossible for Pierce to have a bad game..what a player.Anthony Parker was amazing for us. He had 15 int he first half. He took it to the basket with ease, and he hit his jumpers for the most part. TJ Ford was incredible dishing out the ball as always.I want to praise Rasho a bit. He was great downlow getting us some points. He has good touch inside. He may not have much of a post game, but hey, with his touch + length; drop it down there, and you can count on a basket. Also, I thought he played great defense. He consistently stopped Boston in the later minutes, and imo it was a dumb decision to take him out with 1 minute or w/e to go. He was swatting everything, including that bs foul that they called on him. Garbajosa also played good D.Gotta love Bargnani keeping our 3 pt streak alive..Im telling you guys..the streak wont end for another 5 years or so..We wont let it happen. Two days ago Darrick Martin preserved it..We've gotta get Mo back so we have no more close calls on it haha..I called the game fellas. We play really good at home believe it or not, and no offense or anything, but you guys arent really a good team or anything..btw, a win against NY, and a Jersey lost and we'll have the 4th seed in the east :lol:What? Youve got to stop making dumb posts...He said that because his team is not playing well.. :dunno: Why even quote that?
they played good today they almost won btw is RapsTV the same as NBA tv

Another loss. Greeeat.

Doc's Mistakes
- The 2nd unit was dominating the 4th, why sub them all out? Leave them in!
- Have Tony Allen and Delonte West set the double screen at the end? Two munchkins?
- No Perk when they have Nesterovic, Bosh, and Bargnani in?

Paul Pierce
19 points, 4 rebounds, 9 assists on 6-10 shooting
He only took 3 shots in the 1st half, but dished very well. In the second half, he hurt his elbow, but did alright. He did a nice job with taking it to Bosh, and showing no signs of pain even though he was hurting.

Wally Szczerbiak
12 points, 3 rebounds, 1 assist on 5-10 shooting
Not a good night for Wally. His shooting was ok, but he passed up a lot of them and he played awful defense.

Ryan Gomes
16 points, 5 rebounds, 3 assists on 5-10 shooting
Gomes played very well tonight. He hit open shots, hustled, made his free throws, rebounded a bit. Very nice game, but a somewhat quiet 3rd quarter, then Scal's defense pushed Gomes out of the lineup in the 4th.

Delonte West
14 points, 1 rebound, 4 turnovers on 5-9 shooting
Delonte had two bad offensive fouls, but he shot the ball well and really did great in the running game. We need this kind of shooting from Delonte every night, just like last year.

Al Jefferson
14 points, 6 rebounds, 1 block on 4-11 shooting (6-7 FT)
Al's hook did not fall tonight. He had trouble getting them off over 7'0'' Rasho. But he stayed physical, helped on the boards, and made his free throws. On an average night with that hook, he would have had around 20 points tonight.

Sebastian Telfair
7 points, 1 rebound, 3 assists, 3 steals on 3-8 shooting
His shots weren't falling, his defense was mediocre. Not his best game, but not terrible.

Kendrick Perkins
2 points, 5 rebounds, 2 blocks
Perk got into early foul trouble, but came back solidly. Keep in mind he's playing with plantar fasciitis, so he's not expected to be at his best.

Brian Scalabrine
5 points, 1 assist on 2-2 shooting
Scal played excellent defense on Chris Bosh. That's why he was out there. He really did a great job. I really am starting to kind of like Scal a little bit. He has just been awesome this year, IMO. If he did this all last year, I would have never cracked jokes with you guys.

Gerald Green
6 points, 4 rebounds, 2 assists, 2 blocks on 2-3 shooting in 11 minutes
Gerald Green was excellent tonight, this kid is going to be a player. He aired his first 3, then he nailed his next 2. He rebounded well, blocked shots, was very active, started the running game in the 4th, played good defense. He was actually in there on a defensive substition at one point, and stuck with the driving Raptor and tipped his shot. Gerald looked very good out there, and he really didn't make any mistakes.

Tony Allen
7 points, 3 rebounds, 1 assist, 1 steal on 3-5 shooting in 14 minutes
THIS is the Tony Allen I know from 2005. Very good defense, running, hustle, grit, taking it strong to the basket without trying to shake-n-bake. Excellent game by Tony, I loved it.

Rajon Rondo
1 rebound, 1 turnover in 2 minutes
Barely played, really can't judge much. He did have a bad turnover at the end of the 2nd quarter.

I loved what the second unit did tonight, the first - eh, not so much.

Other Notes
- Bargnani made some nice plays, but overall didn't shoot well. He shows promise, however.
- Anthony Parker torched us in the 1st half. WOW.
- T.J. Ford quietly had a very nice game. He got wherever he wanted on the floor and set up his teammates nicely.
- Bosh was Bosh.
- Rasho played good defense on Al Jefferson.

Next Game
Monday (12/4/06) @ Chicago (8:30 pm ET). Greeeeat.

W/E..The U.S. obviously just get a different version of it. It's like NBA TV except with Raptors coverage as well.

I listened to the last 6 minutes of this game on Sirius tonite and it was just F*cked up... The Celts were up by 4 with 3 minutes to go in the game, and just fell apart right at the end... Very disappointing [IMG]

I don't know how often you get to watch the Celtics, but if you do watch them you know that this is nothing new. "Another day, another loss." This happens all the time, for the past 2 seasons we have not been able to close out games. A lot of that is due to youth, a lot of that is due to fatigue, and a lot of that is due to lineups. Tonight was no different, we just didn't execute late in the game.

I have to give credit to the young brass of Toronto, however. They played their hearts out and brough the energy all night long.

Nice win for the Raps and I was at the game....for FREE!!! So I was shooting some pool downtown with a friend and we decided to go down to the ACC to get some tickets for the game being how it wasnt broadcast on cable tv. So while were waiting in the long line at the ACC some two random guys aged about 40+ give me and my friend two tickets. I was surprised and offered to pay for them but he insisted that they were free because he organized for a bunch of people to attend the game (about 40) and all but 2 showed up so he gave us the tickets, is that lucky or what?? Anyways the seats werent the best but a ball game is still a ball game! Anyways you guys pretty much covered everything about the game so ill add my little observation I made after the game ended....so the Celtics are throwing up shots with seconds to go and then the buzzer goes and the Raps win and Wally falls to the floor clutching his knee or ankle (couldnt really see some players were blocking my view) which seemed really bad because hes known for having chronic injury problems, and he didnt get up for a long time so it looked pretty serious. The amusing part was the way Pierce was looking from center court at Wally, with such a look of disapointment and frustration as everyone else was helping Wally up. Anyways thanks for reading my rather long and pointless post, good night Raps and Celtics fans [IMG]

It's just a pain in the ass, ya know? :pThough now that I've got Sirius Radio I'll be able to hear some Celtics games more regularly, and I'll be following them a bit closer this year for the first time in a long time.

And yes, both reasons are why I call it hell... I hate it here because it's so damned hot (I'm a cold-weathered person) and because of many other things in addition.
