Good stuff, but it falls a bit short of The Brothers Karamazov, more like the tiring War and Peace..... Nah, actually good stuff. I was born to process Novels, Specs. Procedures, Policies, MC's, ISO 9001 Reqm't, Mil-STD-1520 A-C, ASQCA audit systems, Six Sigma (which is inherently problematic), PIE, TQM, SIS, Root Cause Analysis, PMP, Training Courses, Manuals, Flight Test and Checkout Manuals and Checklists, Engr. Dwgs, Drawing Change Notices (revs), et al. and I can't write a effing Novel???? LMAO.....its all good Tom....!
PS-59 hit it on the head, I've been slamming Cash-cross dresser-Man, yet the final buck stops with the Steins, NO Effing Doubt....! and Yes, Cashman has His probs too, but not as looming as the Steins. Give them 10 years, and we won't have the Yanx we knew and loved for decades....!
No way they let Cuban into MLB ownership. And definitely not some tech company wizkid billionaire. If Jeter invests well in the next couple years he could buy in, but not sure he wants a 10% stake vs the chance to own a controlling interest somewhere else. Time will tell.
...I've been hearing that for awhile now, and I just don't get the generalization or the reasons why. ...sure, he's opinionated and somewhat of a rogue but if you think about it, so are a lot of owners in sports. I think Cuban would be good for the game and great for the Yanx.
I dont disagree he would be good for the game, but bad for other owners egos. And MLB mgmt hasn't historically handled outspoken owners very well.
...true, and I seem to recall that he was the high bidder for the Cubs awhile back to no avail...also tried to buy the Rangers and the Dodgers. He kinda has an ongoing feud with Selig so maybe the new Commish will lighten up a bit.
...like I've said a few times, he was essentially George Costanza when he was given the job by The Boss.
_______________________________________ May not be too far from the truth - but can a George Costanza grow into the job and benefit from on the job training? Never mind.
Well a lot of similarities no doubt, even on the Seinfield show, here are a few moments revealing Costanza as a Cashman clone: Out-takes from Seinfield noted from wikipedia: Yep, I definitely see a the man Cashman tried to model himself after, tho' he failed....! Less his horsehoe haircut of course: "Costanza then gets a job working for the Yankees, where he frequently encounters a fictionalized version of Yankees owner George Steinbrenner." "Over the course of the series, he works for a real estate transaction services firm (Rick Bahr Properties), a rest stop supply company (Sanalac), Elaine's company (Pendant Publishing), the New York Yankees (his longest running job)," "When working for the Yankees, he suggested having the bathroom stall doors stretched all the way to the floor (allowing people's legs not to be seen while in the stalls)." "Costanza had success in "The Opposite", in which he begins (with Jerry's encouragement) to do the complete opposite of what his instincts tell him to do, which results in him getting a girlfriend and a job with the New York Yankees." "it is discovered that George actually has what would appear to be genius-level intelligence, but that he can never access it because his mind is always so completely focused on sex. When circumstances allow him to temporarily remove sex from his mind, he is able to reach his true intellectual potential, solving a Rubik's Cube, answering a string of questions on Jeopardy, and giving Derek Jeter and Bernie Williams pointers on hitting based on Newtonian physics." "She told me to go to hell, and I took the bus home." He then gets a job working for the Yankees, where he frequently encounters a fictionalized version of Yankees owner George Steinbrenner." GM since 1998, Asst. GM 1995-1997. Interned while in college starting in 1986, graduated in 1989. Try to find what roles he held up from 86 to 95.... Apparently he played 2B and was the lead off hitter while at Catholic U. Set a record for the Cardinals for most hits in a season. So apparently he had some baseball knowhow.
Wait for being an Un-Molested Altar boy as a kid: Catholic School, most hits by Cardinals, hmm, I hope they lubed up 1st....!
You forgot to mention his grammar school GPA. All that crap you supplied only tells me that prior to becoming GM in 1998 (everybody already knew that) he only had 3 years exp as a ASSISTANT Gm on a major league level.
...I'm well aware of his history...and as I said, he was essentially George Costanza when he was given the GM job. ...fwiw, Obama had a little governmental "know how" too...how'd that work out?
It's good to hear the truth, Crappy has been done for years, or when the Bums let him walk. He was extremely pitiful w=to watch in his last season in L.A. often I would not even bother to watch Cappy after mid season, as I knew he would only count for another Loss....Damned Cashman still has his head up his ass so far, he cannot see...!!!
Everything I've read this last few months, esp last 2 weeks, seems to state, Max may have a better shot in Detroit after all, with interest by the Cubs and Bosox. Plus these articles, seem to state no way is Max coming to NY with Santa.... Time to set up a Patriot STA missile to take out Santa, I'm tired of coal....
You guys are missing understanding my post. You can't find anything related to his resume/bio between 1989 and 1995.....that's pretty strange. How did he become Asst. GM when the last thing known was him being a summer intern in 1986. There is some costanza qualities here, lol!
My model is outdated, and doesn't even have a sarcasm filter or sensor, let alone pressure regulator, blow out mech...!
