If you could have one player on your team, Who would it be? Please keep team chemistry in mind when picking your player. For Denver I would have to go with Ray Allen, We are in major need of a good 3 point shooter right now. We are still one of the worst 3 point shooting teams in the league and the only consistant shooter on our entire roster is JR Smith. Allen would fill that major void, Along with great scoring. It would be nice to have somebody take the scoring pressure off Carmelo as well. I'm sure Ray Allen wouldn't mind reuniting with George Karl again.

For Dallas I would take Michael Redd. Dallas is a little small at the shooting guard position and Redd would compliment Howard and Harris real well. Dallas could go the other way also and pick up a defensive shooting like Bowen but I think Dallas needs 4 players at a time that can shoot.

Also he shoots the 3 well and that is badly needed for Dallas.

Stack is 218 and can play SG off the bench, but anyway.I don't know if I'd pick Redd... I'll think about it when I'm more sober.Edit: what the other Mavs fans said

Gotta disagree with Mavsfan on something, the 3 ball isn't something that is lacking on the Mavs...at least not right now. With Howard and Harris' improving 3 point shot, to go along with Terry and Dirk, and sometimes Stack as well, they have a pretty good group of 3 point shooters...Now I'd like to have another guy that can shoot the ball from the outside, but I don't think the Mavs need another scorer/shooter like that unless you're planning on trading Terry to get him.And as far as I'm concerned I'd rather have Terry, who can play both the 1 and the 2 Guard spots. Plus he's proven to be a VERY clutch player for us over the last year or so...I reall think you just hate the older guys on the Mavs, even Terry who can't be more than 28-29 or so.I think a low post player with some offensive game we'd need more than an outside shooter...maybe a better backup PF that can play down low when Dallas goes small instead of Dirk? Think of anyone?

Pick one guy to pair up with Paul Pierce right now? Tim Duncan without question. He's great with helping your team build chemistry, he's a leader, he has won 3 titles, he can play both PF and C, he would teach a lot of things to Al Jefferson and Kendrick Perkins, oh Yeah... he's the best big man in the league.A lot of youth still, I know, but Tim Duncan and Paul Pierce would go places.

For the Sixers... Kevin Garnett. Webber just isn't cutting it, and Garnett is a MAJOR upgrade over Webber on both ends of the floor. Not only that, but he would work perfectly with Iverson because he isn't the type of player that needs the ball to impact the game, nor does he mind deferring to other players down the stretch if need be (unlike CWebb). But, again, this isn't really a realistic possibility.Another player would be Ben Wallace... simply because he would be able to clean up a lot of the mistakes of our perimeter defenders, and clean the glass (which we have struggled doing in most of our losses). Again, this isn't going to happen.

He could bang inside and get buckets like that for us when our shooting isn't going well. It's pretty unrealistic, but hell, that's the point of this thread.

I think our biggest glare is probably at shooting guard and the lack of a 2nd go to guy. The guy I would bring since I guess there's no real standard to who we can pick is the guy Mavs fans have been pining for, Paul Pierce. He gives us another guy that we can rely on besides Dirk, Terry and Howard are great players in their own right. But there not consistent guys you put your offense around when Dirk is off.

I don't think the Suns need much. The chemistry is great on this team and they are playing very well, but we still need a point guard to come in and lead the offense while Nash is out. We also need someone who can shoot. We don't have that many consistent 3-point shooters and that's a big part of the team. I won't be greedy so I'll just take Chris Duhon. I don't know too much about him but it seems like he's doing a pretty good job in Chicago.

Teams will find a way to exploit it at some point. I favor who is the best for the mavs and Terry would be my 6th man if we did get Redd. It's not possible but the ideal player would be having Redd and use Terry as a 6th man. Harris just runs the team better than Terry as a ballhandler. Terry though is great at the outside shot but Redd is even better and plus not undersized. Of course we could get Duncan at center so we finally have a scoring threat in the post. Not realistic though as well.

Well of course having TD would help any team, and the Mavs would be pretty unbeatable with him on the team, lol.And as for Redd...I'd like to see him in a few games that matter before I'd take him over Terry...Terry has made some big time shots, and been a force on the court for the Mavs in the short time he's been here.

For Suns I"d say Duhon or a slasher like Maggette. We need somebody aggressive who drives for when we can't hit jumpers.

I like our front court right now. I think a back-up point guard is more important now to keep our offense going.

I would take Dwight Howard. An athletic big who can rebound, block shots and provide some much needed defense. Not to mention the effect Nash would have on his offensive game :worthy:
