I actually liked what I saw of Hahn last year a lot. What Beane looks like he's doing is stockpiling as many young, major league ready arms as he can. He'll probably trade one or two off to a team desperate for pitching due to some injuries that thinks they can make a playoff run. Then he'll probably get back a good position player that he can control for a few years on the cheap. That seems to be where he is headed with all of this.
