Team is way too top heavy relying on Nash to score goals. That's why Kreider and Hagelin have been such disappointments. I expect both to be 20+ goal guys at even strength. Take away the empty net goals and Hagelin has done nothing this season. He's been crap.
Cant you say that about all centers? Damn that adam oates sucked anyone can just pass the puck to hull. When this team losses its suxk this that and the other. When this team wins its overrated, look at who they played, or when they play x y and z they got blown out. My lord its fucking enough to go crazy. Bottom line no team is perfect, no 6th defensemen should be noticable or the discussion of topic. All you do is play who is on your schedule and win what your supposed to win.....and that my friends is saturday night at home vs a shitty devils team on my birthday, so if anyone knows someone who has 3 tickets and doesnt want to go....... Ans this is the nash we have expexted, if this nash showed up last june there would have been a fucking banner raised. This is what a 8 million dollar player is supposed to be. Someone leading or at the top of the league in some kind of stats
Right now Hags is on pace for 18 goals and 33 points. Last season he scored 17 goals and had 33 points. Let's rip him though and say he is way underperforming. He is doing exactly what he did last season. Maybe his ppg average is a touch down, he only played 72 games last season and thus far has played every game this season, but at days end he is on pace for the exact same numbers as last season. He is SO inconsistent. And I am sure he had 1 or 2 empty net goals last season as well.
Here is what you are forgetting Al...we are Ranger fans, so that naturally means we will nit-pick and be negative. Oh our 6th dman isn't great...shut it down. I agree with that because most teams I see have star 6th dmen and we don't. I list all the guys who have played really well and scored a lot of points in the past 10 games, but still Nash has carried us. Stepan is on a ppg pace, but he just gets meaningless assists (BTW Step does NOT play with Nash so who is he getting these assists with if Nash carries us?). Brass on pace for 21 goals and 68 points...Nash carries us. Zucc 8 points in the last 7 games...Nash carries us. McD 7 points in 11 games back and a monster + 10 in that time...Nash carries us. MSL on pace for 30 goals and 63 points...Nash carries us. Klein a + 13 with 7 goals...Nash carries us. It's just sad at this point Al. We lose and the board flips out. Everyone sucks. Team sucks. We win and it's oh Nash carries us, our 6th dman is weak, and we beat a bad team. Sad stuff...really is.
This is the type of win streak we have all been waiting for so why nit pick? They beat a team that's right there with them in the division so it was a big win. Hopefully they get it to 8 against NJ who will see it as their playoffs.

Thing is, New York is beginning to look like its old self, the Rangers winners of seven straight entering the break, and I don't see the Blueshirts going backward. Book them a playoff spot now. Well at least no one is over-reacting here. A 7 game winning streak is awesome no matter who it's against. Regardless of who is doing what, they are winning and that's what matters most this time of year. 15-16-1 last year after 32 games 18-10-4 this year. This time last year the Rangers were 18-18-2. Rangers still have plenty of time to get the players who are slacking a bit to pick it up, which as Chuck pointed out many of them are doing already. I'm still concerned the Rangers may have a tough time with teams that have the same speed as them or are bigger and more physical. But they have beaten quality teams this season and at this point there isn't MUCH to complain about. The PP still needs to improve and the shutdown d-men need to be shutdown d-men. Aside from that, keep on rolling along and stacking up those points. Take stock again after the next 15-20 games. LOOOOOONGGGG way to go still. Sorry Al, no tickets for Saturday's game but i'll be there the following Saturday!
