Prior to the start of the season did anyone predict that the Warriors, Blazers, Hawks and Raptors would be the 4 best teams in the league at this point... Heck let's take it to 6 and add the Wizards and Grizzlies.

I would say yes to Blazers, GS, and Wizards. The others, not so much

I figured those teams would be good team, and Memphis as well but I think most figured the Clippers, Rockets, Spurs and Thunder would be atop the West. Likewise Chicago and Cleveland not being ahead in the East.

You guys wanted a league without David Stern, well you got it and now look at the mess.

Wanna wager? If you win, I won't ever post here again. If I win, you never post here again.

I love the current state of the NBA. I'm not sure if its the Spurs effect; or the new CBA; but I've never seen the league so competitive with so many contending teams. Yes the west is unreal but there are some quality teams in the East too. Top to bottom the NBA has never been this fun to watch.

This. I haven't had this much fun watching NBA games since the NBA on NBC days. Sunday triple-header? I'd watch every minute, including all three Prudential Halftime Reports. Every game was exciting. Then came the 00's and I lost some interest, and watched Blazer games exclusively. Last year, and now this year, especially, I watch a lot of other teams, and it's a blast. It's all up for grabs and I don't have a damn clue who's going to win it all this year. The competition is fantastic and I love all of the broadcast teams. It's all coming together again.

Been following the NBA for about 20 years now and none of these top teams aside from the Blazers have been traditional power houses. It's good to see this change.

    See I think the opposite

Sure the Blazers are fun to watch as they play more like a team than most teams in the NBA

But overall the NBA is a watered down product right now. Most games most nights are a display of bad basketball and generally not a good product. The slate of games on Christmas? Not very good.

Up until the last road trip the Blazers were playing like 1 interesting game a week because most of the teams on their schedule have been complete garbage.

The NBA is too much of a grind against bad teams than it is playing interesting games imo. It's not appealing.

Surprised nobody else mentioned this, but those aren't the 4 BEST teams. The top 7 teams out west would beat the Hawks and Raptors in a series easily. If you meant 4 best RECORDS, than YES I am surprised.

Before the season started, I picked Blazers and Wizards to get 1 seeds. I'm close.

Don't make that bet. Rockets will be going on a big slide soon. Some team has to move up. Clippers suck. Mavs should get to 4 seed.

You are so very wrong. The Hawks and Raptors are for real. 9-2 and 6-2 vs West respectively. Bulls and Wizards are for real too. It's the other 11 teams in the East that suck. I mean, do you watch the games? The Raptors would sweep the Clippers. And the games wouldn't be close. Even without DeRozen.
