Why's everyone putting Hamilton down for 'fitness'. So many guys can run forever in the NBA. Allen Iverson and Steve Nash are two great examples.

He runs 5+ miles a day in the offseason, and then he lets his dogs run around in a huge field, chases them, and doesn't stop until they get tired.Iverson is fast and has a lot of stamina, no doubt, but Rip is head and shoulders above the rest in my opinion.

^^Thank you someone understood melo's midrange is the best. Melo actually can creat off the drible for his midrange. Rip doesn't have the same ability.

I couldn't disagree more. Rip Hamilton has made his career as an NBA All-Star by hitting the 18 footer off a screen. He strokes the mid-range jumper better than anyone in the league, and by a pretty big margin. Carmelo is a superstar scorer for sure, and is excellent at creating his own shot, and I'm not trying to take anything away from him, but nobody in the league even sniffs Hamilton as far as consistency and production from that spot on the floor.Anyways, my nominations:Long Range Shooting: Steve Nash (Averages 42.3% from 3 for his career. That is beyond sick. Redd, Allen, and Peja are all a hair under 40% for their careers.)Mid-Range Game: Rip HamiltonPenetrating: Lebron JamesBest Shooting Big Man: Dirk NowitzkiOverall Scorer: Kobe BryantLow-Post Offense: Tim DuncanLow-Post Defense: Tim DuncanPerimeter Defense: Kobe BryantShot Blocking: Emeka OkaforRebounding: Dwight HowardBest Rebounding Guard: Paul PiercePlaymaking: Steve NashFree Throw Shooting: Peja StojakovicClutch Shooting: Kobe BryantBallhandling: Steve NashBest Ballhandling Big Man: Brad MillerSpeed: Tony ParkerBest Physcial Fitness: Rip HamiltonDunking: Jason RichardsonBest Player: Kobe Bryant

However, Carmelo can score from mid range in a variety of ways, he can go off the dribble better than Hamilton, and can come off screens from 18 feet. You say that Hamilton is consistant, so is Carmelo, infact Carmelo is consistant from every spot on the floor.

I don't think there is any doubt about that. But I can't acknowledge Carmelo as being a better mid-range player than a guy who has made a career as an NBA star from 18 feet. While Carmelo may show on a more regular basis his ability to score off the dribble, you can't knock Hamilton for that. Hamilton is so good at running his man around, into screens, and then catching and shooting, that I'm not sure why he needs to use other methods. As far as consistency, aside from this season, Carmelo has definately had consistency issues.

I would like to change the best low post scorer to Carlos Boozer. Everytime I watch Carlos Boozer play, he makes EVERYTHING around the basket. Also, Tim Duncan can be innefective if players force him to the middle because he doesn't have a left hand hook shot what so ever. Boozer is more athletic, and stronger so he can finish with more authority. I am basing this off of this season....As for the mid range game, I really love Carmelo's. Now I know Rip has a great mid range but Carmelo is really doing a great job at it this year. His stroke is so much smoother and it seems like he shoots a really high percentage. Also, Carmelo doesn't go off as many screens as Rip does so his shots arent as open.
