I have a $150 spending limit for my upcoming birthday (turning 14). I really don't know what I want to buy, so I thought I might buy some basketball equipment that I've been looking at online. What bball equipment would you purchase?

Well, it's not like you can say shoulder pads or a helmet lol. I don't know, when I play, I wear nothing but my jersey, shorts, and I wear a headband/forearm band. I don't know exactly what you mean by basketball equipment.

I mean, maybe a new ball? New basketball shoes?

No, don't get a new NBA ball. I meant buy a new basketball in general. You have $150 to spend, don't spend $100 of it on one basketball (yes, that's how much the new NBA ball costs. ridiculous). I would never spend that much on a basketball unless I was making millions.

You'd probably be suprised on how much basketball equipment there actually is (obviously most of it is used for training), but I just want opinions. And yeah, I already saw the NBA ball. I thought it was ridiculously expensive.

You guys ever heard of a body suit? its and actualy whole suit (not literally) of weight and you just put it on your body...and you play with it under your clothes, it works better than anke wieghts because that weighs your ankles down which could stretch them the wrong way.

Yeah, ankle weights aren't any good. They will slowly deteriorate your legs.

comfortable shoes, braces or tape, towel, bag, drifit(nike) socks, gatorade water bottle, tf-1000 zk microfiber basketball. take your picks.oh, and ankle weights stretch your ligaments unnaturally. if you use them for about 3-4 years, about 6 years later you could have some serious damage. the var girls coach at my school has arthritis from using them.
