So evidently zach Lowe suggested on a BS podcast that the blazers would be a good trade partner for Chandler if Denver made him available. What would it take? Is it financially possible to acquire chandler and still keep matthews, lopez and LA? If so, I'd give up our 1 next year plus mccollum and maybe an expiring like dwright. He is the missing piece

Zach Lowe must read the forums. It's the only logical explanation.

Yes, but it'll cost us Dame... why oh why didn't you specify?! Now Olshey's traded Lillard and it's ALL YOUR FAULT!

It would likely cost our pick and a filler (likely Claver+Wright)

Gives you a legit scorer off the bench. Can score in multiple ways. Solid defensively. Can guard multiple positions. Would allow the team to rest Matthews and Batum more. If Lillard or LA are having an off night, Chandler would make a better go to option than either Wes or Nic.

Is he like an amazing defender or something? What am I missing? Hes basically a worse rebounding Jumaine Jones.

Seriously, trade a 1st and cj? I'm sorry but What. The. Fuck.

Nah, I don't think I'd give up Cj, a first and wright for him.

He's a solid and versatile defender. Who the fuck is CJ? Dude sucks. Trade him while you can. That 1st round pick is meaningless to the blazers. They're built to win now.

This is the type of shit you worry about around the deadline. For shits sake, there will be guys getting bought out, guys being dealt for future 2nds, guys waived after trades...cj and a #1 are probably the two best chips we have.

Because they are built to win now doesn't mean they should make stupid trades. Just my opinion.

How is it stupid? You think the blazers current squad is enough to win a ring?

Look at the spurs bench. They have multiple scoring threats. Ginobili, Mills, Belinelli. Portland right now has Kaman.

Let's wait until the Spurs get to 25 wins before we crown their asses again.

The spurs pick up castoffs that fit the system. There was a time nobody wanted mills or even belinelli. I'm not interested in giving up assets for a career journeyman in chandler. Jr smith was just dealt for peanuts. Shop around for a wing scorer. You could probably get one for trob and McCollum without giving up a pick by the deadline.

Hey if we can get one without giving up the pick I'm all for it. Point is this team still needs help.

I think they have as good a shot as anybody else right now.

Look, I'm all about upgrades. Deal cj and a #1? Sure! Just not for a league average (or below) guy, like I said, there will be guys like that available for next to nothing. You don't deal real assets for jumaine Jones unless you need to dump a contract or something.

And good for the spurs finding players that fit their system and produce. Thus far that hasn't happened for Portland's bench. I do wish Crabbe got more time though.

Well if theres someone better out there that's worth that package, go for it. IMO chandler is a perfect fit though. If it doesn't cost as much as I think, even better.

Honestly, Crabbe is basically Wilson Chandler if given minutes, IMO. So we already have him.

    Problem solved!
