Add me to the list that dislikes the giant avatars. Looking at avatars is NOT the main reason I come here. I would rather shrink them than turn them off altogether, but if given the option of off or huge, I'd choose off. barfo
If possible and easy, great option to have for those that want. I don't mind them so bad on the phone, but on the web they're too big and distracting IMO.
It looks like shit when I print it out on my thermal fax machine to read it. The old forum was much more fax friendly.
Really? That's very interesting... I would have sworn they were at least twice the square footage on the new site. I guess something is drawing my eye to them more on the new site... The purple pirate appears pixellated. barfo
176z176 was the size limit. Most were that big. Yours is 141z141 as displayed. The image is smaller, but the software is scaling it up to fit.
Yours is. Some aren't, and I wouldn't presume to tell someone to change their avatar for my convenience.
I agree. Pictures (avatars and sig pics) are too big in comparison to the text and avatars appear to be lower resolution.
The software supports 3 sizes of avatars. I was asked by brainiac to use the big ones, so I did. The normal sized ones, that are stock sized, are 96x96 and the pages look like this: I can easily switch to the smaller size if we want it. Let brainiac make his case to keep them big, IMO.
Normal is nicer, I think. A lot of posts have a bunch of white space because we have that info panel on the left extending the post. Not that it's necessarily bad, but it is a thing.
