It's like me saying I'm a Blazer fan, but wearing a K*be jersey, chanting "M-V-P" with him at the line and trolling RC2 afterwards by saying I hope they never win a championship. And then Simmons tweeting out that Portland is the most bandwaggoning fanbase professional sports because he found video of a fan shifting over to liking K*be in the middle of a game.

"Hi, I spew hate speech, I blasphemously attribute my interpretation of God's wrath on people, I don't pretend to follow any teachings of Jesus and I try to do it openly so I can sue people if/when they retaliate. But I'm totally a Christian, really."

Can someone just simply stage a gay rights parade next to their picket line? Show them real democracy at work!

This is all good fun, but really irrelevancy is probably the best rebuke.

You know, turn the other cheek?

Which is pretty much the best part of being a heathen. When I turn the other cheek it's because I want to, not because I have to. :D

When you turn the other cheek it's so your dominatrix can spank the other side.

Sly is in good form here, picking up the slack and keeping Portland weird. Laughter, gotta love it!

Seriously, this. As a Christian, it's always disappointing when these guys pop up in the news again. It's like they've never read the Bible. If I wasn't going to be in Eugene, I would love to actually go down and talk with them. Doubt they'd take the time to listen and would want to interrupt a bunch, but I'd love to ask them a few questions.

The Blazer are the team I want to see play damn good Basketball. I do not ask of the organization or the owner to provide any moral guidance.

Then ignore the moral guidance and enjoy the damn good basketball. It's not like they are forcing you to agree with their beliefs before they will sell you tickets or let you watch the games on TV.

So an abstract entity punches a fictional entity in the face. Not bad.
