11-5, leading their division. Before their season, I thought they wouldn't be as good but I was always optimistic. So no, I never expected them to be this good. I still thought the Clippers were better, but they just beat them twice in a row.So yeah, that is my take. What's yours?OH one more thing:[IMG]DAMN!

I'll admit the lakers have showed signs that they can indeed be a really good team but they have also showed signs that they still not at the point of being considered a team that can do really well in the playoffs losing those two games we should have won.(Portland and Milwakle.)

I didn't expect it. I think Bynum becoming a good player earlier than expected and Kobe growing up are the reasons why they are playing so well. Maybe our little rivalry will actually mean something for the first time since....ever. I'm getting tired of the Texas teams so I wouldn't mind facing you guys in the WCF. :dunno: Amare vs. Bynum should be a very beautiful match-up to watch.

I sure as hell didnt expect the lakers to have this record at this point, to tell you the truth 2 or 3 games above .500 is what I had expected. These lakers have been playing great and should keep it up during the whole season. Lamar Odom has been playing excellent and Luke Walton is finally doing something. Lakers should make some noise in the playoffs.

It's called a hot start. The lakers and jazz will cool off eventually. They are overachieving right now.

5-0 is a hot start... we're already 20% through the season, and I really don't see them going back to a low. I just don't/I so hope you're wrong (not about the Jazz though).

It's called growth..I stopped taking you seriously about 5 months ago. Times like this remind me why.

Luke Walton was another player who stepped up big for us so far. He's number 1 in 3 point percentage.

Before the season, I expected them to win at least 50 games and go deep in the playoffs. I didn?t expect Luke or Bynum to be playing this good.

Coming off good play in the playoffs last season and because he knows the triangle offense so well I knew that he would do well this season. Also, I am one of the people that stuck up for Bynum early on and believed that he was going to become a good player wheather others did or not. Ever since I saw him play in the summer league as a rookie, you could just see it. Anyway, I expect this Laker squad to finish with at least 50 wins.

When Mihm and Kwame got injured, It was his time to shine. The Lakers made a great decision not trading Bynum for Artest! Do you post on cl? Your signature and avatar look very familiar.

With all the injuries we had before the season started, I didn?t expect 12 wins after 17 games. Everyone is contributing right now especially Luke............ it looks like Phil has his rotation set up. KOBE and Odom will be logging 38-40 min. with Luke playing 28-32. Kwame and Smush should get most of the minutes in C & PG position but I won?t be surprise if Bynum and Farmar gets more playing time. What I like about this team is you got different players stepping up in offense every game. Let?s not forget about Vlad who I think will be a big factor once he understand the system. The Lakers are taking care of business at home and we are 4-0 in our division. I expected 45-48 wins before the season............ hope they prove me wrong and reach 50+ wins.Is KOBE playing tomorrow, how?s his ankle ??? Looking at the way he rolled it I doubt if he can be effective against the Hornets but with KOBE nothing is impossible.
