Looking at the schedule there are a few interesting games tonight: Rockets @ Cavs --- A slight chance for the Rockets to lose and debut of JR Smith Grizzlies @ Hawks --- Good match up of defensive teams. Jazz @ Bulls --- Just for the sake of EWill's debut Pistons @ Mavs --- Here is to hoping the Pistons hot play continues Thunder @ Kings --- Maybe a huge game from DMC and the debut of The Juggler Pacers @ Warriors --- Not much here but I think the Pacers are a little better than their record
I was surprised to learn this guy is still drawing an NBA paycheck. He really fell off the face of the earth after Phoenix traded him. He played 33 games last year for PHI and pretty much sucked until he was injured. He won't set foot on an NBA cout this year, but will still get paid $6.6 million. Good work, if you can get it. BNM

Cleveland needs a center BADLY. They don't need him to score, just someone to clog the paint and rebound. Cleveland is in win now mode, and desperately so. They already mortgaged their future in the Kevin Love trade. So, pissing away a couple more future late first round picks doesn't really hurt them that much. This would be a good deal for Denver. With the emergence of Nurkic, Mozgov is totally redundant (plus they also have Hickson and McGee on the payroll). So, getting a couple future firsts for a piece they don't need is a good deal for them. This is really a trade that makes a lot of sense for both teams. Cleveland is desperate for a serviceable center, so Denver is holding their feet to the fire and demanding 2 firsts, but I suspect those will be highly protected first round picks (like top 20 protected). Anyone can win the East, fact is Cleveland got A LOT better defensively this week with the additions of Shumpert and Mozgov. If Irving and Love can just not fuck up they should go the finals... and lose.
It looks like they view the Bulls as their main competition in the East. Adding Shumpert and Mozgov helps them match up better against Noah and Butler. BNM

It's not like they were meshing before. So, these trades don't set them back in the chemistry department. As long as J.R. Smith doesn't pull a gun on anyone, their chemistry might have gotten better by dumping Waiters. As noted, adding Mozgov and Shumpert definitely improve their defense, both inside and perimeter. BNM
It's the Bulls still, LeBron OWNS them in the playoffs, I think he has beaten them four times 4-1....
