Ugh, I'm pissed. I forgot to set my alarm last night (I have been waking up at 9 lately) and I slept through half the damn day. I didn't go to sleep any later than usual either (around 3). So it feels all weird today, and I'll be off track for another day or so most likely, because I can't imagine being tired any time soon. :ranting:

Has this ever happened to you (I'm sure it's happened to everyone at least once)? What should I do? Should I try to go to sleep tonight even though I'll be wide awake, or should I just not sleep tonight so I'm actually tired tomorrow night?

Usually when I end up sleeping that long, I'm tired as hell all day and have no problem going to sleep that night, but hey, my sleeping patterns and sh*t have been F*cked up since I was a little kid, so I would probably take what I said with a grain of salt.

When that happens to me I feel tired all day too. I take a shower and it resets my sleep pattern. Weird but true.

It really depends for me. I have this problem almost every Sunday (sadly), and I have an 8:00 AM class Monday mornings in which attendance is a huge part of our final grade. Unfortunately I have to get up at like 6:00 AM for it (that's early compared to when my other classes are). Usually I end up going to bed around 3 AM Sunday nights and get up at 6 AM without too much of a problem.I really don't know what to suggest to you... it really depends on your sleep patterns. If you have no problem getting by on a few hours of sleep for a day or two, then just sleep tonight whenever you get tired and get up at your normal time.

Yeah, ok I'll try that (just go to bed when I'm tired, wake up at 9-9:30 anyway). Thanks for the advice. I have pulled two all-nighters in a row before, and I played basketball on both days, so I'm sure I'll be fine. Everything just feels so weird today though, ugh.

I do that all the time bro....the best thing to do is just keep going through your normal routine. You got alot of sleep so there isnt anything wrong with it. You can just make yourself go to sleep...

Getting too much sleep makes you feel tired, I would try your best to fall asleep.

I'm a sleepy head. I usually go to sleep at 10:00 and wake up around 6-7.
