Sad to hear. This guy broke my heart in the 74-75 SC playoffs preliminary
round when he scored the winning goal for Islanders vs Rangers.

His goal eliminated the Rangers and the Isles began putting their mark
on future playoff history. For me, that goal began tough times for
    Ranger fans......in the '70s.

Ouch. Remember that goal like it was yesterday. Saw the game at the old roosevelt raceway at the ripe old age of 20 as I lived in queens village with no cable and went out there to watch the game. Just got to the tv monitor with my beer and hot dogs when parise slid the OT goal only 11 seconds into OT to beat the rangers. Talk about a painful memory. Everybody there was stunned. Two things come to mind. Steve Vickers makes awful play behind own net, turning the puck over and cable was only 8 dollars a month!
