So why does Anthony Davis have almost 700,000 more All Star votes than Aldridge?

I don't think the gap between Anthony Davis and Aldridge should be that wide, but Davis is a freak and deserves to start in the All-Star game.

Setting aside your fan bias, who would you rather watch? There's only one right answer.

This. Put aside any argument about who is the better player, and talk about who is the more exciting player. If you don't say David then you are kidding yourself.

Lets see their numbers side by side and break it down FAMS! Let's see if he's 700,000 times better!

Davis must have some Chinese ancestry.

I saw Portland play in New Orleans and Aldridge dominated Anthony Davis. I'd rather watch Aldridge. While I'm watching him, I will also enjoy more wins which is what it's all about.

Fan bias. LA is one of my favorite players and I am still in awe of Davis. Davis is almost the player LA is and its his 3rd year. Just scary to think about what he will become when he matures and refines his game and become more consistent.

It's the uni-brow. Gimmicks have worked since PT Barnum. Still work. Lamarcus needs a gimmick, that's all.

Aldridge is too clean cut to be popular. Quiet, reserved, stable, old man game. Kind of like Duncan.

Perhaps he should grow an afro.

That's the thing man. He's at Aldridge's level only 3 years in. I am a mega Aldridge homer, but Davis should become a mega Aldridge in a few years

Because he was a national star before he even left college, and was a no-doubt #1 overall pick.
Because he's leading the league in PER, WS, and WS/48.
Because he's generally already presumed to be the third best player in the league, and he's only 21.
    Because he deserves it.

LaMarcus should do all his interviews in a thick Texas drawl. Change all his "you knows" to "y'alls". Wear a 10-gallon hat, Hoss style. Do all is interviews with a toothpick in his mouth. Stuff like that.

The All-Star game is all about being a show for the fans. Most fans would rather see Davis throw down crazy dunks instead of watching LaMarcus knock down mid range jump shots. That's why Davis and Griffin are #1 and #2 in front-court voting. Honestly, I think the coaches picking Lillard and Aldridge as alternates is more impressive.

Davis deserves all the respect he gets. Time will tell if he has a Lamarcus' like career because he IS only 21. Team USA put him on the map and the draft.
