Watching The Starters right now. They say Lillard is a lock but not certain about Aldridge though I think the coaches will definitely pick Aldridge, especially since the worse Griffin will be in. Over to the East, they don't think Love will make it and I agree. You can't have three Cavs on the All Star team. They're 19-17. There should be three Hawks (Millsap, Teague, Korver/Horford). What do you guys think? My West reserves are Aldridge, Dirk, Duncan, Harden, Paul, Lillard, and Westbrook. Not sure about the East. I have to think about it more. Definitely no Love though.

The coaches have to select Aldridge. To me, its not even a question.

Notice my picks don't include Dwight Howard or Kevin Durant. They just don't deserve it.

Pau Gasol definitely deserves to go in the East. He's WAY more deserving than Kevin Love.

Take out Duncan and Dirk. Put in Durant and Howard. there are your all stars.

Pains me to say I think Aldridge could be screwed so they let Dirk in "cause someone from Dallas needs to be I'm"

Wow, I'm surprised they'd even question it... LaMarcus has already been named Western Conference Player of the Week twice by the NBA since the start of the season 11 weeks ago.

Monta is another option for Dallas, but with so many great guards in the West there may no be from for him either. The West is so crazy deep, outside of the center position, this year's Western Conference All Star team will be almost Dream Team like.

Looks good except I would put DeMarcus Cousins ahead of Dirk. Also, I cant see Korver getting in the all-star game averaging 12.8 PPG.

then they are idiots who don't have a clue how the coaches vote

looks right except Westbrook is potentially iffy because he missed time, the Thunder have a losing record, the general perception is that his stats overrate his actual contribution to helping his team win, and Klay Thompson is getting a ton of buzz on the team with the best record.

Maybe they should pick 2 West teams and 2 East teams and have a tournament

I would too based on skill, but like Westbrook Cousins also missed quite a few games and is on a losing team, so I would bet on Dirk in the coaches vote.

LaMarcus doesn't dunk enough to be an all-star reserve.

Ellis will be behind Harden, Lillard, Paul, Thompson, Conley, and probably Westbrook, so he can only dream of multiple injuries.

No... no it wasn't. I was mocking the LMA haters.

I know you were. But, with regards to the All-Star game, it's quite true.

KD missed way too many games for the coaches to consider him over Dirk/Duncan.

Howard is underachieving this year and everyone knows it.

Gotta somehow hex the Dubs into a few quick losses so Stotts can coach and LMA can play more than 14 minutes.

    Pau is going to start.

I know Durant was MVP but he hasn't played much and his team is 10th best in the West. His best chance was getting voted in. Dirk has a better record than Dwight. Duncan's having s decent year. Cousins missed way too many games and his team sucks.
