I can't see this happening. With Meyers coming on, I don't see this organization bringing in a guy that would take away time players like him and even the Truck er is that Train?

I remember Meyers rookie year when O'Neal abused him in the post at will. He'd be a good workout partner for Meyers. But I think he'd mainly be an insurance policy.

so I have to assume that a big will be going out if Jermaine is coming in. Possibly Freeland or Meyers. I doubt Jermaine would sign somewhere if he wasn't guaranteed some PT.

Two summers ago, he said he wanted to come to Portland and that he'd be fine just being a mentor to the young guys.

If he's okay with that, awesome, but I don't think he wants to have zero PT. I don't think he'd come back for that.

He won't have zero playing time for the next 2 weeks, and I bet he'd be really useful deeper in the playoffs as our third big guy if Marc Gasol or Dwight Howard or whoever has gotten Robin and Joel into foul trouble.

    ^Absolutely

Think we need that moreso than a new scoring option for the post season.

Just got back in to town last night. I have a feeling he is going to announce his decision by next Friday.

Denver doesn't play until Wednesday. I'm thinking Monday/Tuesday if it ends up going through.

He just had this weird vibe about him. And when he was about ready to go toe to toe with Shaq one game, I became a life-long fan! Jerm is legit! He maybe slower now, but the dude is a gamer!

The offense will slow down a lot when he is on the court. Going to take him a while to get up the court. Hopefully that won't cause problems.

I hoping for just that at times.

We need the ability to slow it down on occasions when our shot ain't falling. Aldridge can do it, but he doesn't do it every game. Everything from Jerm is in the post. So his scoring will be when we need that half court bucket. Then having Aldridge on the other block to use his #1 in 2nd chance points, would be a nightmare for teams.

I doubt he'd ever be in the game in the 4th quarter, but you need a calming force on the bench... Kaman is a shooter, but not what you'd call a calming force.

Yeah sometimes I get flashbacks of Statbo when the ball goes into him.
